Hi WP community,
I am a budding wp web developer. I have already a .com website which is built by using zyro web builder.
But After knowing the wp’s importance for SEO and I wanna develop a proper wp website so I bought .in domain also in the same .com domain name.
Now I have both .com and .in domains.
My question is which one can I use to develop the wp site whether its .com or .in
I currently live in India and I am seriously taking up this web development and digital marketing freelancing work as my serious business.
Need your suggestions people !:)

updating a simple html website to wordpress

Hello,

A few years ago I coded myself a simple html webpage. Which I published with cyberduck and a small hosting packet. Now this website is outdated and I really want to create a new website from scratch. The problem is I have never worked with wordpress and I don’t know where to start.

I really want to keep my current website published, until the new website is ready. But I also want to keep the same domainname. Has anyone any advice for me how I can do this.

since i have started my blog a large commercial company has appeared running guided tours in the same topic that my blog is about.( i talk about getting started and the gear.. they are just running trips) Their company name is the same is my blog name with the exception of the suffix .com, where as mine is .nz

When i first started my blog searching the topic would always show my blog, now its totally dominated by the commerical.com site.

i have submitted a site map to google and had my site crawled..but nothing changes…

any tips for getting my results back in the search results?

Can I use it for multiple domain names with Premium?

I’d like to install this plugin in a WordPress website and use multiple domain names to identify different affiliates.

I’d like to use different domain names to make it easier and nicer to affiliates.

All the domain names will point to the same WordPress website.

Can I do that and pay $99/year for the website only?
Or I’d have to pay $99/year for each domain name?

Transferring URL

I am hosting my site through Dreamhost and want to transfer the URL from its current location to a new domain I recently purchased at GoDaddy (already migrated the new domain to Dreamhost).

I’ve tried reading forums but it is unclear to me how ‘dangerous’ or tricky this is. Can someone explain which steps I need to do and if I need to rewrite any of my libraries? Is there a way to keep both URLs active or should I forward the old one to the new one once its set up?

I need to know what to do on both the dreamhost and wordpress side.

Problem with domain names and different sites

I have two websites through WordPress (not intentionally). Humblewinesnob.com and lehighvalleywinelife.com. I recently created the domain name lehighvalleywinelife.com and intended it to take over humblewinesnob.com, but I don’t know how to do that and get rid of the two different websites. I don’t know how to fix this!

Does this software support Multisite?

Using a domain name containing ??? – impossible?!

My client has bought a domain name containing special characters ? and ?. Now they want me to point it to their WordPress.com-site. But when I try to do so, WordPress tells me that the domain name doesn’t seem to be a valid one, and there is no way for me to proceed.

Is there any solution to this problem, or does my client need to buy a new domain without these characters?

Huge multisite problem

I’m using Managed WordPress with Godaddy, and using subdomains. the original domain / main domain is www.startvector.com

So i’m trying to setup multisites under startvector.com – such as test.start vector.com. Inside the wordpress console, the new sites are listed, as test.startvector.com but I CANNOT CHANGE site url or ‘home’ to test.startvector.com – always they are just startvector.com So when I click visit site, it goes directly to the master site.

The A record seems to be correct; as going to works – but any link on the site goes to the master site.

It’s my first time using multiwordpress, but this is really bugging me as i’ve been using WP on hundreds of sites for many years, and never encountered such strange behavior. yikes!
