We’re working on an internal project and have been making more use of the priority support and customer success resources available from the team at GiveWP. The online forms allow our donors to target their giving adhoc or following a regular (subs) sequence that works for them.

We’re also now processing all our offline donations using the manual donations addon. As with any application there will no doubt be improvements to come but this app allows donors (or admin staff) to efficiently process and oversee online and offline donations in a seamless manner.

Where we have had questions about process or functionality the team at GiveWP were available promptly to support and bring clarity to our understanding – by email or video call. Any issues we have had were typically to do with our preparation of data for manual import, rather than the application not working as expected.

Like any application you need to invest time in getting to know your way around. Having recently set up a new process for manual donatons I have no hesitation in giving GiveWP a five star rating. Thanks GiveWP for this awesome donation plugin!

Backed User Tab

On the Backed User tab of a person’s campaign. If the person has been donated to it works fine. Everything shows up as it should. But if a campaign has no donations, it is showing the identical donations of another persons campaign minus the amount donated. How do I fix this to so other campaigns that have been donated to do not show up on campaigns that have not been donated to?

Can’t delete donors

I had a huge amount of bots sign up as donors using the offline donation form (even though I have Akismet installed and activated to try to control this.)

Every time I try to delete them as a bulk action, I get a notification that I have to approve the deletions first, but there is no popup or other thing where I can approve it.

If I view the donor, then delete the single donor, it seems to work but they are still listed in the list. I just can’t open the donor entry anymore.

Exporting donors with addresses

I exported the donors for a form that we are using, and I need the addresses to be in the export as well. I can see the addresses if I go to the donors and click on them individually, then click on their donation I see their billing addresses, but when I run the export, only one donor has an address in the columns for addresses.

I have issues with Give e-mail function

Hi,

I have a a WorPress with Give plugin via GoDaddy hosting. The hosting service blocks Office 365 SMTP server and forces me to use their own server, which requires no authentication.

Whenever I try to use the server to send donors their receipts, the function doesn’t work. I believe that this is because of GoDaddy server, and the fact that it doesn’t require authentication.

I tried Google and it worked, however, I am using office 365 for work e-mails and can’t keep using my personal Google account to send receipts.

Is there any work around this? can I make Give send e-mails through GoDaddy relay server?

Please help me, I am really desperate here.

Transactions vs. Donors

I was looking at our admin in the Give Donations plug in section and am a little confused by what i am seeing. We have 3 transactions, but when I to go “Donors,” I only see one donor and the three transactions are listed under that one donor. Is something configured incorrectly?

Funds Donors showing as anonymous

I just bought the Widget pack and gave it a test and say for top donors widget I only saw one donor and it was Anonymous.
I had a look at the data and found for one of these donations:
the meta key ‘_dgx_donate_designated_fund_id’ has a value of 355
Post 355 refers to a named fund (not anonymous)

the meta key ‘_dgx_donate_donor_donations’ references the correct donation post

The donation amount is correct

I have also written my own query linking funds to amounts of each donor and this works OK which you wouldn’t expect if the post_meta was incorrect

Any ideas of what might be causing this?

Recent Thank You Display

I am looking to display the five most recent donors on my page. I have purchased the Thank You Add-On thinking that this would be the way to do this and I can’t figure out a way to make this happen, I can only display the most recent donor. I have emailed support through the website a week ago and have not heard anything back and I’m am being pressured to launch this site.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
