If someone subscribes to your newsletter, double opt-in is required. But the system doesn’t provide this opportunity (at least not in the free version). So you would need to register any subscriber after they already got the download. If they have only been looking for the freebee, they won’t give the permission afterwards.
I also didn’t like, that the download isn’t protected.

]]>First of all, thanx a lot for making CF7 available and, especially, for implementing the Brevo API. That’s a big help for us.
Judging from some posts on here, we’re not the only ones though who try to make Brevo’s Double-Opt-In work with a CF7 form. It is still unclear, if DOI is required by GDPR, but it is certainly going to be compulsory in the future.
Do you think this is somethin you’d like to build in? I spoke to a developer at Brevo who asked me to pass on the link to their DOI reference https://developers.brevo.com/reference/createdoicontact and to add, that to pass on the parameter you’d have to support Brevo’s endpoint.

Can anyone tell me the default set up here? Are they in fact receiving a double-opt-in? Is there a way to skip that if they are opting in during purchase?
Or does anyone have a workaround for this issue? I rely on tags and, if they aren’t applied automatically at purchase, I have to manually apply them myself at a later point. Which obviously is not a good thing.
]]>I trust this message finds you well. I am reaching out to discuss the implementation of a double opt-in email confirmation system for two distinct scenarios: one for “Subscribers” and another for the “Contact Us” form.
In the case of Subscribers, upon successful subscription, the system should automatically send an email confirmation containing additional details. Similarly, for individuals who submit the Contact Us form, the system should trigger another type of confirmation email.
If it is possible then please guide me through the steps.

I’m sorry if this is a silly question — I’ve only used Mailchimp in the past for newsletters and am trying to decide whether to switch to this plugin, as I’d rather not do Mailchimp.
On a new website, I setup this plugin but found that my test emails were being sent to my spam folder. I am using Elastic email for SMTP if it makes any difference. Subsequently, I was notified by my domain name provider that the domain (which was new to me) was on a blacklist due to SPAM! Since I owned the domain, I had ONLY sent messages to myself to test the plugin and only had the plugin set to double optin. So I’m not sure if the Spam complaint was something that existed on this domain before, but I got the domain cleared from the blacklist it was on.
So, I guess my question is this: if I have this plugin set up with double opt-in, am I at risk for the domain being marked as spammy based on the confirmation emails it sends out? I just want to be aware of possible ramifications before I try making a switch on my primary domain.
Thanks
]]>I had an issue where newly registered newsletter subscribers had never received double-opt in confirmation emails from Mailchimp, and thus were not added to my Mailchimp contact list.
Now I fixed the issue, but I have around 200 contacts in the debug log (emails are partly hidden), who never received an email and hence could not properly signup for the newsletter.
Is there any way to recover them / resend them a confirmation email? These are all valuable contacts I would like to keep in my list.
Your input would be highly valuable.
Thanks a lot, Olympiada
