Having Physical and Downloadable products in the same cart

Hi Folks
I’d like to be able to add a physical product (that needs a shipping address and a shipping charge) and a downloadable product (that does not require shipping nor a shipping charge) to be added to the same cart so that when the buyer completes the purchase in paypal the buyer is sent back to the website to a page showing the download link (and where a receipt is sent to the buyer that also contains the link to the downloadable product). Is this possible in woo commerce and if so does anyone know how to do it? Thanks in advance.

I’m using the WP e-Commerce plugin (3.8.13.3) with the Members Only (‘Membership & Subscription plugin for WP e-Commerce’) plugin (version 2.9).

I’ve set up a subscription (as a product) and have added a product download. Normally, the buyers are shown links to any ‘downloadables’ once payment has been made on Paypal. However, for some reason the Members Only plugin adds this text to the ‘transactions results’ page:

Thank you, your purchase is pending. You will be sent an email once the order clears.

This message is pulled from purchase-log-notification.class.php in /wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-includes and suggests that the plugin thinks the payment still needs to be cleared – even after Paypal has already confirmed it has cleared.

Weirdly, the plugin then continues to print the standard confirmation message for the ‘transactions results’ page (the message defined in the dashboard under Settings, Store, Admin). This shouldn’t happen as the error message (“your payment hasn’t been cleared yet”) will normally contradict the standard confirmation message (“thank you for your payment!”).

Worse, because the plugin thinks no payment has been made it also prevents the link to the ‘downloadable’ from being displayed. The link to the download does appear in the confirmation e-mail the buyer gets as soon as the payment has been made. This suggests that the plugin wrongly assumes that no payment has been made. If Paypal has already confirmed the payment has been made and if a confirmation e-mail has already been sent to the buyer than surely the plugin should know that the payment has already cleared?

How do I install files to be downloaded?

My site is det-enterprises.com and I am new to WP. I have some samples of my work as a writer that I would like to set up as free downloads for people to check out my writing style. How do I get them set up so they can be downloaded by my visitors? Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

I have mp3 download links for sale using wp ecommerce. Starting a few weeks ago, customers are getting download links and when they’re clicked on, the link says it’s no longer valid. I don’t know what has changed. I’m sure this has been an issue others have posted but I must say, the search link given in the “before posting a new topic” link, really did nothing to help. When I get results on the getshopped website, the forum disappears as soon as I log in. I can’t even tell where the fourm help is!

eshop plugin help needed please

Hi, I am really struggling here with eshop. I want to use it to sell downloadable products only. I can’t figure out how to upload the files and where to put them. I simply don’t understand how it all works (yes newbie techno-idiot here!) I can find lots of videos how to add a product. Do I do that before I upload the downloadables?
Do I download the files to the downloads page. If yes then how do I do upload them please. Someone talks about an upload button. Where is it please?
I gather from reading questions on forums and the instructions that I can then choose which one will show when someone makes a particular purchase so they don’t have access to all the products? Or should the downloads be put on different pages?
I am sorry to be such an idiot but I simply don’t understand the instructions. I am sure it is just me and not the plugin!

Hello,

I’m just wondering if there is a way to have variations for downloadable products. I want to offer both WAV files and MP3 files and depending on which variation the buyer chooses, they would download different files.

I have the actual variations set up but I’m not seeing a way to attach different files to each variation. Is this possible? There’s nothing in the documentation about this.

Great to have this free version…I’m moving over from WPEC and it’s really handy to be able to test for free.

Putting a free downloadable item on blog?

I’m an artist that licenses clip art and scrapbook downloadables with a company and have my own blog attached to that company’s site. I would like to upload some small give away items to draw people to the blog and the company’s web site.

Does anyone have instructions on how to do that? They would be either jpeg or png files.
