Link to draft posts disappeared from ‘Posts’ – no option to access draft posts

We have saved a lot of posts over the last few years as drafts, so that we can edit and then publish them as and when necessary.

However, when we tried to access our draft posts, the hyperlink that appears under Posts > All Posts has disappeared. There used to be an option to access draft posts alongside ‘all’, ‘private’ etc.

The WordPress accounts we have logged in with have full Administrator privileges.

We have the latest version of WordPress installed. Not using any editors like Elementor etc.

How can we access our draft blog posts please?

Unable to access draft entries

I’m using version 0.8.5 in WP 5.5.3 running Exhibit theme (PHP 7.4.12 @64BitOS). In the admin UI, I noted that accessing items in the trash is not straightforward. I need to select the “Filter” button (again) to make them appear, even though no selection criteria are active. The categories “All” and “Published” result in instant displays. That’s a little inconvenient, but workable.
However, the situation with drafts is far less workable: I don’t always finish an event entry to a publishable level, so would like to save it as draft until ready for publishing. In addition, I really would like to keep a (set of) template(s), which would make adding new entries much easier. Sadly, whenever I save an entry as draft, it shows up in the selection header of the admin UI, but I see no possibility to access these drafts —?the selection GUI does nothing, i.e., I can neither see a list of drafts, nor can I edit & publish any of these. In fact, I can’t even delete the drafts from the admin UI. Am I missing something here?

Carousel displaying blank posts

When scrolling through the carousel there are areas of white space that appear to be blank posts. All published posts contain images. There are a number of posts in “draft” mode that do not contain images. “Select Posts” in carousel settings is set to “All Posts”. Is it possible that the carousel is displaying all posts including drafts?

Quick Draft Missing from Screen Options in Dashboard

I have recently noticed that Quick Drafts no longer shows up as an option in my WordPress dashboard anymore.

I recently changed to a pipdig theme however they have advised that it would not be the cause.

Any ideas?

Hello All,

I exported all content to an XML file and preserved all media content, then created a new database and imported into the new WordPress installation to find that all posts are un “Draft Mode”.

Is there any way to restore all posts in its original state (Published) ? Preserving the date/time of its original publication?

No Save Draft option in 4.3.1

I just started my first blog post since installing 4.3.1. I’m appalled to see there’s no way to save a draft of a post – there used to be a “save draft” button on the “Publish” box, now there’s ONLY a “Publish” button. I had to publish an unfinished post and make it private. This is extremely inconvenient, why did you take that away?? And how do I save partial work? I write travel blogs and it often takes me several days to complete them, I MUST be able to save drafts without publishing.

Can't get it to work with Draft posts?

Ho do you select a draft post because I can’t seem to be able to do it?

It can select published posts but I can’t publish the posts until I have the side bar in place.

Am I missing something or can this plugin not work with unpublished posts?

Hello,

I am attempting to create six unique sidebars for six posts, all of which are in draft form. When I search for the posts in the search box for your plugin they don’t appear but if I search for published posts I can find them.

Is the plugin incapable of searching for unpublished posts?

I need to be able to make ready the sidebars before publishing the posts and not the other way around.
