I am trying to implement a drag&drop and SAVE feature on my site.

I’m very new at Js and jQuery, and so my first issue was to succeed to run my js code into wordpress.
For that I use the “TC-custom-javascript” plugin”; and I changed all “$” into “jQuery” (and load the proper jQuery Librairy).

So the drag and drop is working properly; but then I can’t figure out how to save the position / the order (when user reload the page for instance)? I’ve tried using ‘serialize’ but without success…

Any help on how to save this particular drag and drop would be really appreciated.

We have 293 galleries, 361 pages and almost 19,000 images – with more to add continually. Each gallery has on average 40-80 pictures.

It used to be that when you created a gallery, the uploaded images were displayed on the ‘Edit Gallery’ page and that is where they could be dragged/dropped for organization. Now when you go to the gallery, the images are not displayed. We are not sure what happened but now if you want to manipulate the images in a gallery, on the gallery page you have to hit ‘add new’ by Gallery Images, then go to the gallery tab. The images are shown here but they are very small and the option to do a ‘Bulk Action’ like delete is not available. We need to be able to quickly edit the images as needed so going to the media library and searching is not really effective for our needs.

We have never felt that WordPress was user friendly when it comes to organizing images on galleries, the drag/drop method is time consuming and tedious. The sort ordering has never worked no matter what we have tried.

I downloaded the photo gallery plug in but I am not sure how we attach pages to the galleries created with it.

Can anyone advise on plugins or settings that would help us with organizing images?

Does anyone know if we changed something in our account that changed the original gallery display?

Deactivating Opening Hours resolves the problem. Import with WP Import runs as should.

First of all, thanks for the plugin: it’s awsome.

And second: since I installed the 3.9 version of the plugin, I’m not anymore able to modify the rankings (Volleyball) cause I can’t Drag&drop up and down the teams.

The “automatic” version of the rankings never actually worked for me, but I used to do it manually.

Did somebody figure this problem out already?

In my portfolios I have the message “If you see this message then your browser doesn’t support native upload or more likely something is broken because HTML5 Drag&Drop uploader couldn’t be loaded. Please try deactivating some plugins and make sure that the theme is installed on fresh installation of the newest WordPress. If you still see this message, please checks errors in Javascript console or contact our support. This issue is surely related to your server configuration or admin panel configuration.”
I update Safari, read some posts about it but I can’t figure out what’s wrong. I can’t see any pictures, drag, drop, delete.

I am new to WordPress and this forum is a great help! So I hope someone know how to fix this.

My site is https://127.0.0.1(= not yet existent) and I use the theme Social Reach.

When using the built in Site builder, the drag and drop function for widgets doesn’t work.

Maybe this is because I am using Windows 8?

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to solve this problem?
