Unable to remove drop caps

Hi!
I’ve searched on google and inside this forum, but the solutions I have found (both specific for this template and generic for wordpress) have not worked, so I decided to open a new thread.

I have used Savona as a theme for a website of a friend of mine. Everything is perfect, except that I can’t find a way to disable the drop caps. As the website often start with short sentences, they create more problems than the beauty advantages they brings. Here is an example:

I’ve tried using the custom CSS, but it seems it is ignored by the theme… I’ve looked into the database, examined the standard CSS of the template… but I can’t manage to get rid of them.

Is there anyone that can help me in any way? thankyou!

My Drop Cap works on some pages and it doesn’t work on others. There is no space and it is the first letter. Please help

Hi there,

Probably a simple bit of CSS for someone in the know, but for me I have no clue how to remove this large first letter effect in the Libretto theme. Could someone lend a hand? I’m making a website for a family member and it’s not my normal area of expertise!

He’d just like the text to be all capitals, like the rest of the headline.

Glad I tried this (as yet) unreviewed plugin. I’ve got a WordPress site for testing with all kinds of Developer’s Licensed plugins running and this plugin is the first “drop caps” plugin that works best right out of the box. So far, so good! And thank you to the developers for this. I hope more people will at least give it a try. Love the ease with with you can adjust the height, color, etc. Thanks!

No dropcaps? I know there are other shortcode plugins that have a dropcap shortcode, but they tend to be either limited or confusing. Could you add a dropcap shortcode to your plugin and make it comfortable to use?

I see that you included the dropcaps in the stylesheet however I can’t get it to work on my site. I want to use the dropcap on all first letter on my post (Single posts). Can you tell me how to use it. Love the dropcaps, I think they look cool on fashion/entertainment sites. Thanks

Shortcodes or bootstrap classes?

Good day everybody,

I am a bit lost: I tried to type shortcodes like [link_button], [dropcaps], [youtube], etc, but they do not seem to work (when I preview my page, they get displayed “as is” instead of being replaced by the element they represent).
Is there an easy way to implement them?

Also can I use the equivalent of a bootstrap class to manage the layout of my pages?

On the latest version (I think), I am having a problem in which when I use [dropcap] in my article, it misses out that letter in the exert made for the descriptions?

Anyway to prevent this and get my letter back?

Also, this is related, could there be a space added between headers (

for example) in the description too?
