Any ideas whether there is a theme that supports this or plugin/hack?

Dynamic header and custom menu

Hi,

first of all let me tell you, that I like the Virtue theme a lot. It is one fantastic piece of work. Thank you for it.

I am currently trying to solve 2 issues.

1) I am trying to implement dynamic header. I would like to use it as a page identificator by writing a text over it. For example – the page about me, would have header where “About me” is written inside the header (sitewide banner). I downloaded the WP Display Header plugin but it says that my theme is not compatible with dynamic header. So is there an compatible plugin which would do the job? Or any other way to do it?

2) I would like to get a nice vertical secondary menu. It should be also dynamic (different menu for different pages). I understand that I can create several custom menus. I just need it to be on the left side and I would prefer some nice square menu box. Is there a plugin you would recommend for that?

Adding unique headers to pages using custom fields

I would like to be able to add different banner images to different pages. So far I found this thread https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-add-different-header-image-for-every-page?replies=31

I’ve created a custom field called banner and inserted the following code into my header.php

However on my pages where I don’t have the banner, it’s listing the page title twice. How can I remove the page title from the code above?

I hope this is the right place to post this – apologies if not.

I have a unique landing page for my online advertising campaigns and I would really like to know how to do 2 things:

1) Dynamically change the number in the footer when a user visits this page from the normal office number to a unique number for tracking purposes

2) remove the footer links from the footer to prevent users clicking away to other parts of the site.

the header.php template file is using this code to display the main office number ($gdl_social_wrapper_text) at the min – it’s pulling it in from the modernize control panel but I can always bypass this with any new conditional php code:

I am working on a site https://kaniamea.com/turtle/ and if you see the source code you will see the following. This is inline code and it comes with the Theme. It seems this is dynamicly generated CSS code from custom-styles.php. Is there a way to organize this code in a separate stylesheet in the child folder? Thanks a lot!

Header doesn't adjust dynamically

Hi All,
I am a newbie here and this is my second post.
First of, I have no WP knowledge or web programming experience.

So, I try to adjust my browser to different widths but my header doesn’t adjust with it. Is this what people refer to as not being “responsive”?

I have read other post and some of them skip steps, and or aren’t detailed enough.

What I have done.
I have created a child theme and child theme folder. Currently, the child theme folder contains the following:
inc folder
style.css
header.php
Also my header img is .jpg format. I also uploaded a .png version.

I also have the “custom css” plugin if this information helps in helping me resolve my issue.

How can I resize the twenty thirteen header and header image dynamically?

I want my header image in the twenty thirteen theme to scale based on the size of the browser window. I’m using a child theme, and would like to try to keep any additional code there.

Currently, I’m using this (which I found on another discussion):

It works right for the header image, but when I make the browser window more narrow, I’m left with a huge white gap at the bottom where the picture no longer fills the header.

Double Headers – Where to place Coding?

Hey all…

Just trying to set up this webby for my little cuz but I’m not sure where to place the coding for the Dynamic Header in the Header.php file. Everytime I do place it, it works… but I end up with two headers!! Perhaps I need to adject something elsewhere on the wordpress site?

I am using the WordPress TwentyTwelve theme!

Any advice would be great.

Hi,

We are creating HTML pages dynamically for Word press. In this we have issue including the header (dynamic) into that. We are creating the press as below.

I have create the template as below.

We are directly inserting the data in to the mysql from the code (C# app) in to the following tables “wp_posts” and “wp_postmeta”. In this process I have created almost 10000 pages. I need different header for all these pages. So I want to use the similar technique to create header also (data insertion to database). But I am not able to do that.

Following is the header.
