I wrote some text in wordpress on the root page “home”. The page which always loads first, if entered the URL without subdirectory.
By mistake, I clicked Delete instead of Updating it. After hit the Undo option. I can no longer originally name the page while editing the permalink. If i try to rename the permalink slug, to https://www.bewerta.de always “home” gets added automatic.
Now the problem is that may whole Content for the startsite is here: https://www.bewerta.de/home
But i should be go there, as before: https://www.bewerta.de
In the dashboard, strangely the option edit the page (pen) is not visible if i open the page (https://www.bewerta.de) in Browser as logged in Admin in WordPress.
I would be happy about help. Using Yoast Seo Premium 15.5 and WordPress 5.6.

]]>I have created a number of pages (not posts, but pages), that were automatically set up with permalinks ending with numbers like “/?page_id=30”. However, I need to change these to custom ones, such as “/about”, “/contact”, etc.
After researching how to do this, I went to edit the page with WordPress Editor, and clicked on the title of the page. Above the title appears the permalink, but instead of the “Edit Permalink” button, there is the “Change Permalinks” that redirects to the settings page that deals with the permalink structure for posts (not what I need: I need to change permalinks to specific pages).
I read that I need to save the draft, and then the “Edit Permalink” button will appear. I tried multiple times saving the draft, going from published to draft, saving the draft and so on, bu in neither case did the “Edit Permalink” button appear.
Would very much appreciate help on this.
It seems I have the same issue as the last person (michaelgli) who posted in this thread here (before the moderator’s post). https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/permalink-edit-is-missing/
]]>To reproduce:
Open an existing post (which was created using Gutenberg) for editing with Gutenberg
Scroll all the way to the top of the page
Click on the post’s title
Attempt to edit the permalink when you can’t see what you’re doing.
I’m using Windows 10 with Chrome and Firefox and Gutenberg 3.9.0 the theme is Weaver Xtreme
WordPress, the theme and all plugins are all up to date.
The only workaround I can find is to use Quick Edit.
After activation your plugin i found one issue. Unable to show edit slug button for CPT. Even slug box also not working. please help.
]]>I have read most of the many forum threads about similar issues but have not found an answer. All my posts and all my pages except the homepage allow me to edit the permalink. I have a static front page. The permalink is showing as my site URL, but I want it to show URL/page (or post( title the way all the other pages and posts do automatically (they also allow manual editing). It is not showing an edit box. I can edit the slug, but that does not show in the URL. My intention is to have the page title in the URL. In other words, if my site is pets.com and my page title is How to Name Your Oet and I chose that as my static front page, I would want the permalink to be pets.com/how-to-name-your-pet. Instead, I’m getting just pets.com.
I don’t have it set to the default permalinks, I have the one that says sample-post. I don’t have pages in the trash that have the same words in the title.
I don’t know how to find the database for this site in my C Panel, but I do not think an image permalink is the issue, because many of my posts have the images with the same words as are in the permalink. However, I would like to look into this, but I have several sites and a bunch of databases that built themselves and named themselves random letters so being a non-database person I do not know which one goes with this site.
Thanks, I very much appreciate any help!
