Up until very recently I could log into WP, go to ‘visit site’ and then my website would be displayed with a very useful bar at the top of it with things like “edit this page” – it made it very easy to navigate, spot something that needed updating, and then go directly to edit it.

Something has happened and now that bar has vanished. If I click ‘visit site’, I just see the site with no WP interface at the top.

Is this something that has happened in an update, or have I accidentally changed an option I shouldn’t have?

I’m running WordPress 5.9.

In WordPress whenever an Administrator brings up a Page or Post the link titled “Edit this page” appears on the bottom. (See URL below). When you click on it you are directed to the Dashboard area where you can edit the page or post.

What program or file within WordPress is controlling this link? I want to omit this link under some circumstances. Where would I go to do that?

I have a small problem. Theres a image missing at the end of a post next to “Edit this page”

I have tried resolving this problem myself but I failed.

Any clued on how to fix it ?

I am sure this is easy to fix, but I need help.

I create a new page. Add some text. Publish the page.

When I view the published page in my browser, beneath the last sentence of the text, it says “Edit this page”. Why? I do not want “Edit this page” to appear. How do I remove this link?
