How to edit widgets on individual post without it effecting homepage

Hello,

Is there a way to adjust my widgets on an individual post without it affecting the entire site? For instance, my right sidebar normally has 8-12 widgets. If I type a short post, there is a big white space under the article since the article is not as long as the page. It makes the page look empty. To even up the page, I would have to delete some of my right sidebar widgets.

Can't edit Widgets

I can’t seem to edit any Widgets on my site (www.parentingaces.com). I just have an arrow cursor that doesn’t allow me to expand the widgets to get to editing mode. The same thing happens when I try to edit via the Customize tab. This is a new issue. I’ve read through the various threads on this topic and tried the suggested fixes but nothing has worked. HELP!

P.S. I am NOT a coder so need very explicit direction here!

I want to give access to a user. He should be able to edit a single text-widget in sidebar. He should not get access to other widgets and settings.

I am using user-role-editor and adminimize.

I would like to customize my META widget.

I need to translate ‘Registration’ and stuff into my language, I am using 3.9 blog network (!) – the UI is pretty confusing. I know wp-includes/widgets.php was supposed to work for the older versions, now I only see the classes declared but no way to get to the content of the actual META widget that I need to edit.

I think that during the installation I glanced at ‘Widget Editor’ (not sure tho) or something but I am unable to find that again.

Please advise.

Im trying to edit the FOLLOW US: section in the website im working on
I managed to edit the Quick Links in the Footer (left side) i cant edit the follow us i assume its a widget. Its in the center of the footer. There is twitter, facebook, linked in, share there.
I want to get rid of linked in and maybe share but i cant find out how to do it. ??

Lost the ability to edit widgets on wordpress blog

The last couple of weeks when I go to my widgets page and try to edit the existing widgets I am unable to do so. I click on the widget in the right column to open it…it looks like it opens but there is no data or lines for me to edit. No visible information. Also cannot edit dates on my blog posts.
So far I have tried other browsers, cleared cache, ctrl f5 on the widget screen, checked with host (hostgator) to make sure that I have appropriate permissions, made sure that I am admin on my blog. I am at a loss now.

I use windows 7 OS and hostgator hosts my blog.

Any suggestions you have are welcome.

Can not edit the widgets

I run a few WP sites on multi servers. One of my clients which I run his site on a WP friendly server asked me to change/update a picture that is placed in the side bar via a widget. Heck simple right, for the life of me I can not change or edit any of the sidebar pull downs bars, the system will not allow me to open the sidebar to edit, add or delete a widget. I checked write permissions, I changed browsers, I turned on and off java, I updated java, I upgraded to WP 3.03 I even changed sites to see if it was the server or WP that was causing this problem. Everything seamed ok on my server till I checked a different site this morning and I was locked out of editing the widgets. Now I checked another on my server and everything is fine…..

Anyone have any idea what is wrong?

How to edit widget HTML

Hi,

I’m just trying out WordPress 3 and attempting to implement my own theme.

I have changed the layout of the footer widgets in the file functions.php but I would like to go one step further and change the HTML of each widget.

As an example, the recent posts are in a ul tag, how do I go about changing this? I’d also like the recent posts to include the date of each particular post.

Impossible to Add or Edit Widgets in the sidebar

I updated to WP 2.8.6 and I’m using Prime Press 1.3.1 for a long time.

In the widget area I normally have a column where I can manage all the widgets that are in the sidebars. Since I updated WP I miss this column. I just have the overview of available widgets that I could add if I wanted. But the whole sidebar thing is gone. I can’t edit or even see the widgets that are already installed.

When I visit my blog I see the sidebars, but there is no possibility to edit them anymore.

Is this a WP issue, Prime Press ore both?
