Does anyone have any idea how I can make this featured image less dominant on the page, I’d prefer it to be more proportional to the rest of the post (particularly on my desktop site, the image isn’t as obnoxious on a tablet or mobile screen).

I tried emailing the creator of the image but they only work at WordPress.com and are unable to help me since my site is hosted through NameCheap.com.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am using the Edu Axis theme for designing my website.

On the homepage, the number of page slides is 3 and I wanted to know how can I increase it to 9.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

When I go to Appearance>themes and select “www.ads-software.com Themes” OR “Add New” I’m redirected to those pages but nothing shows up. I keep clicking and clicking and there isn’t a directory of themes for me to choose from, and I can’t upload any when I choose “Add Themes”. I select “Upload Theme” and nothing happens.
I can only switch between “Twenty Thirteen, Fourteen, and Fifteen” but I can’t even view “Theme Details” when I click on the other themes. Nothing happens.
I’ve already uninstalled and re-installed WordPress FOUR times today and nothing has changed. This is very frustrating.
Even when I click “Help” on the theme page, nothing happens.
Is there some bug or glitch going on? I need to update my website this is slowing my business down so much.

The last bit is changing the header image, but I can’t find the file. It’s not in the media folder or anywhere I can see in the any of the menus. I don’t see where the logo is stored either.

Nosing through the style sheet for this child of 2011 site I see bits of code that seem to refer to an image folder, i.e.:

.main-bg {
background:url(images/main-bg.jpg) no-repeat 50% 0;
height:364px;
}

Am I on the right track?

Can anyone help me find and replace this image?

I’m new to this but I’ve been trying to work my way around.

I’m having problems with editing my theme (I’m using the Independent Publisher theme). I thought it was enough for me (to edit f.x. the header of each post (font size and color)) to change the html in the stylesheet.css and update the file. The update is saved but nothing changes.

I’m probably doing something wrong or not doing enough.

Can anyone please explain (idiot proof please, since I’m a beginner).

I’m using the mantra theme and love it lots, but I’m unsure how to add additional code to the homepage. I want to add some javascript that allows me to use a heatmap (using the goingup plugin).

I know I need to be in the code editor, but I don’t know which file to use and where I should put the javascript?

This is what I need to add:

I purchased a premium theme called Smartstart. Now I installed and activated the theme, now I want to customize it. Problem is, on the home page there is content that I do not know where to find and edit. The home page editor shows:

[post_carousel]

I know hwere to find the Slider, but not the [projects_carousel] and the [post_carousel]. I loeked everywhere, but cannot find it. Where do I look? It is also not specified in the user docs…

I’m new at WordPress, and implementing custom themes is MUCH harder than just writing a website from scratch in a text editor….!!

Now I don’t want to just install a theme and use it, I want to customize the theme and put in my own plugins etc, maybe even rewrite some of the pages with pure HTML/CSS.

Now if I do this, will my clients still be able to use the user-friendly page editor to update content, or need I stick to the theme to enable that (without editing the theme)?

I’m trying The Theme Arthemia Free which I can’t find how to edit the 5 drop down menus under “Browse Categories” or the Headline tag just above that and the Featured tag just to the right of that.
