Hoping for the same terrific support I had with this problem 7 months ago.
Email sharing stopped working after I updated Jetpack to 6.2.1. You can select a post to share and send, but the emails are not sent/received.
I had this same problem 7 months ago and got excellent help from Richard Archambault (give that guy a raise). See the thread here, explaining the problem:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/edit-subject-line-in-sharing-emails/#post-9682608
To be clear, the problem was resolved 7 months ago when I made a small edit to the sharedaddy.php file. When there was a Jetpack update after that time, I did not have to edit the file again. The problem appeared resolved, but with this latest update the problem has returned.
I edited the sharedaddy.php file again, but that did not resolve the problem.
thanks in advance

]]>The latest problem, at least according to my webhost’s support staff, is the fact that a post shared by email through Jetpack has a subject line that looks like this:
“Subject: [Shared Post] Title-of-post”
The webhost’s mail system views this as a spam message, because of the “[Shared Post]” section and blocks all such mails.
Is there a way to edit the default subject line that Jetpack email sharing is sending to remove “[Shared Post]”?
any help much appreciated
thanks
Rob
]]>I could really use help.
I cannot get email sharing to work on my site. There is no error message after attempting to share a link by email. I get a message saying the share was successful but the emails do not arrive.
I am not running a caching plugin. I have checked with my webhost, and they are not blocking XML-RPC.
I am not running any of the plugins listed on your support page as having conflicts.
I am running the latest version of WP.
Any help is much appreciated.

]]>It’s a past event — 4th of July 2016 — so I went back to find it, and I shut off the sharing options for that specific event. Sadly, these emails are still sending.
Is it possible that a legit email didn’t send and that it’s stuck in an infinite loop retrying and retrying? I tried deactivating the entire Events Manager plugin, waiting a bit, then reactivating on the suggestion of one of my hosting provider’s techs suggested (sort of like resetting a modem, I guess). He suggested that might break an infinite loop if that was the case; however, it didn’t resolve anything.
I apologize I don’t have the greatest troubleshooting data: the spam emails are causing us to hit our website database’s query limit, then I’m boxed out for 1-2 hours until my query limit resets. I only get a few minutes of digging and investigating in before the site (and my wp-admin access) is suspended again.
I’m calling my hosting company multiple times a day, and I’m beating my head against a wall only ever being able to talk to tier 1 support agents who keep giving me conflicting information every call… Any help you guys may have would be great!
