How do I add an embedded image to the outgoing mail?
With the WP default phpMailer, I can add_filter( 'phpmailer_init', ... ) and do $phpMailer->addEmbeddedImage( ... ) to attach an image for displaying inline.

How do I do this with post-smtp?

Apologies if this sounds stupid/it’s in the wrong place.

I run a blog on a self-hosted WP site and my page load speed is absolutely awful. The main culprit are my large images, so I downloaded the EWWW image optimiser a few months ago, but it’s not doing anything for my load speed.

I just had a thought though – most of my images are embedded from my Flickr account, and not directly uploaded to the WordPress media library.

Could this be why EWWW isn’t working, and is there anything I can do to compress/optimise images embedded from elsewhere?

I was wondering if you could clear something up. We are looking for a responsive image plugin that will work retroactively on already-embedded images. As it reads, the changelog indicates that this plugin will do just that since version 2.0.0. However, after test driving the plugin, it isn’t. Should it be?

Also, the plugin is working for already extant featured images, but no others. Which leads me to think that it should indeed be working on other images already embedded…

Anyway, could you shed some light on this?

I mean properly embedded so that the page will download with ONE TCP/IP connection – seriously speeding up page download times, improving SEO and generally making the site much, much, much better!?
