HTML Entities Not Being Decoded?

We have been working on a site that is currently giving us a strange issue where page titles and varying other symbols are not being decoded from their HTML entities. For example, source code will display things like the following –

What is a "Bad Interest Rate"?

We’ll also see instances of this happening, with entities within URLs not being decoded as well –

/wp-admin/post.php?post=439304&action=edit

This appears to be an issue across the entire site. We’ve tried things ranging from disabling the wptexturize() function, to disabling Yoast, to disabling all plugins, all to no avail – the entities still remain encoded in the source.

This is an issue because the entities are displaying in Google search results.

Is there anything else that could be causing this issue that maybe we’ve overlooked? Any input at this point would be appreciated. Thanks.

Plugin is Screwing up my PayPal Buttons

Seems related to other posts, where a backslash is getting added to quotation marks. Everything within my form tag is escaped with a slash, making the code display As text and not function. Started happening after an update.

I need to update nearly every catalog item and this bug will make me seek another solution if it cannot be fixed.

After updating to 4.17.8, the site now gives the following error:
Post “0” was not found (wp-content/plugins/wp-rss-aggregator/src/Entities/Collections/WpEntityCollection.php:128)

The only solution is to disable the plugin.
At this time we cannot update wordpress core due to a theme page editing issue that occurs when we do.

It seems that entities are displayed in header for non-ASCII languages, I.e. Greek.

If you take a look at the footer code, you will see this (instead of proper UTF-8 characters)

I use to structure my main posts / pages title HTML entities like “& nbsp;” (un?breakable space),
but reading the title is difficult,
so, I thought that it would be cool to use a light grey color pro the HTML entities (in main title),
to better read the terms next to these entities.
Please add this feature.

When using the RSS reader source, the text still contains escaped HTML entities. Ideally, the source either decodes these to Unicode characters, or a processor is offered to decodes HTML entities to Unicode.

Hi there,

Using my short English, I ask to help some contribution.

I want to make some entities table for finding some entity.

So I installed Tablepress and made new table contained linked page contents.

I wrote down !_; in cell and look preview page. (I added a under bar to void replacement to !)

But there was an Exclamation mark(!) instead of !_;.

So that I tried to wrap !_; in tag, but it was not working for me.


How can I write down entity number in table cell of tablepress?
Help me!
