ERR_CACHE_MISS
This happens after selecting dates in the VIK Search Widget. When I view an accommodation and then navigate back using the browser’s built-in navigation buttons, I get this error. My Current Setup:
I heard that shortcodes can cause conflicts. This was also the case with the search form, which I was able to replace with a widget.
Now, I would like to do the same for:
[vikbooking view=”booking” lang=”*”]My Question:
How can I integrate this as a widget or HTML instead of a shortcode?Main Issue:
The key problem is that when a user navigates back (for example, from your demo site), they should land on a normal page instead of an error screen.Example:
This is not user-friendly. While there is a button at the bottom of the page, most users won’t know to use it.How can we solve this issue?
I would really appreciate a fix or workaround for this.
Looking forward to your response. Thanks in advance!
]]>The issue resolves when caching is disabled.
I tried adding:
/shop/
/basket/
to the exclusion rules, but it’s not helping.
This also happens for logged-in users – namely myself as admin – even though I have “Disable caching for logged in visitors” checked.
Can you assist?
]]>Today it came to my attention that we get an error (err_cache_miss) when moving backwards and forwards through the page.
I got feedback from a few customers that didn’t trust our webshop because of this.
Is there a way for us to fix this? Or can this be tackled in a future update?

This only seems to have just started happening.
Other browsers say things like ‘Document Expired’
The issue doesnt affect Fireforx – it only affect Chrome and IE so far that I have tested.

]]>I upgraded to 4.0 and the problem remains. It happens on Chrome, Firefox, and IE (and I assume others). I diagnosed using Chrome and got the following errors:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 (Bad Request) …/themes/u-design/scripts/timthumb.php?src=&w=220&h=140&zc=1&q=90
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CACHE_MISS
I’m a WordPress novice, so I hope that diagnosis makes sense to somebody out there! Also, interestingly, the featured images do load when I am logged into the WordPress editor and open the website from the editor. But they do not work under any other circumstance.
