Query by event start date of WP Event Manager

Hello

1) I would like to only display events (in WP Event Manager) sorted by event start date.
In this case, I would like to separate past events (before today) and future events (after today).
How can I do that ?

2) Can I display the event date and not the publication date or the modification date when date are included, with the title ?

Event metadata blocks undefined erro

Hello. I have been working on a client’s website, which has the plugin installed. They have requested a query loop on their homepage that displays their upcoming events in a format that is customizable using the block editor. I noticed that the plugin has some blocks included, on of which is Event Datetime. Whenever I try to use this block, or any block to display a piece of data about a specific event in the query loop, it shows the “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” message.

Upon looking in the browser console for more details, I am presented with this error:

I can verify that this site has been live for many years before the client started to have me work on it. I recently migrated it to use a block-based theme, as before it was using a shortcode-based theme. Any help in remedying this issue so that I can use the post datetime block would be much appreciated!

Year change only after annual event held

I see a solution to a similar use case I have (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/show-next-month-on-20th-of-each-month/), but it is slightly different.

I have reviewed several annual events on our website. I would like to use [nyear] to show the next year date, but only after the date of the actual event has passed.

For example, the next Marrakesh Marathon is scheduled to be held on Sunday 26 January 2025. I am using [nyear] in the title and 2025 is displayed. What I need is for when the date rolls over to Monday 27 January 2025, the new [nyear] date of 2026 is displayed.

Is there specific code I can add to the page to show the recurring date (that is last Sunday of January, or similar?

SEO plugin sets Event Date to post date

I use the All In One SEO plugin (AIOSEO) on two websites and in their AIOSEO Settings at the bottom of every Event post it states the Event Date as the date the event post we created. I have to remove their “Event Date” variable and enter the date manually.
I have previously asked for help on their forum here:

Is their any way to resolve this so that it displays correctly. Adding it manually does not encourage Google and Bing to add the events to their listings on the right dates.

Cannot set december as event date

Events page shows icons on featured image with publication date

Hi Guido,

Love this plugin! I’m struggling with the icon on each featured image on the events page. It shows the date of publication. Underneath each event you can see the date as a label.

What I’d like is for the icon on the featured image to show the actual event date. How can I make this happen, please?

Can’t edit “Event date and Categories” that display on top of contents

Greeting, Your Plugin are really awesome and easy to understand. But it’s still not friendly for post content yet because Event dates and Categories appear on top of every post that’s created with this plugin and they can’t move or hide them that makes post look less beautiful. It would be really nice if we could edit their layouts, move them somewhere, or disable them from post contents

I can’t create new events

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with the event creation feature since updating the plugin. Whenever I attempt to create a new event, the event page displays the message “this event has passed” and the event is not listed among the existing events. Additionally, when I attempt to edit the event, the event date and hours are not retained. I have attempted to resolve this issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, but the issue persists. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue.

We have published a list of upcoming events on our website, and it appears it is taking the published date instead of the event date. As a result, our upcoming events have the PAST EVENT notification.

Permalink Event Date

I have been using this plugin for years and love it – thanks for an amazing bit of software.

I want to change the permalink structure to include the date of the event in the URL (e.g. https://www.website.com/2022/04/event-name) where the date and month are pulled from the Event.

I have achieved this to a point using the Custom Post Type Permalinks plugin. My issue is that the date pulled at the moment is the ‘Publish Date’ for the ‘Post’ rather than the Event Start Date. Can you advise how I might be able to achieve the Event Start Date in the permalink structure?
