Hi. How to display an excerpt from a search match on the result page when using only custom fields (carbonfields) ? I would like to display how, for example, highlight works (on the right and on the left, 20-30 words each, conditionally)

In post where the photos have captions, the feature boxes and recent posts boxes always start the excepts with something like this…

i have a problem with exempts, i am using some plugins to fetch news from RSS. but there are rss feeds that have their own excempts and thus wordpress does not uses it’s own settings for excempts (50 words).

is there any plugin to clean excempts from feeds?

I have a blog roll page and it shows just the excepts of my posts. It then has a “[…]” how do I get ride of that and replace it with something else.

From excerpts to full stories

Hi all

I want the stories to appear in full rather than as an excerpt.

I’ve tried adjusting the options in the normal controls on the dash but I think the theme is overriding (this may be a wild assumption). If there anything I can change in the template to force the theme to show the stories in full.

Posts Showing As Excerpts

Hi… newbie using WP for the first time. See https://www.austtravel.com.au/wp/ which uses the default twenty ten template.

I’ve added my own categories, two posts and a new page. Everything that is opened from a widget area (recent posts, archives, categories) opens as an excerpt. The “Leave a Comment” function does not work and also reverts to an excerpt.

Does anyone know what is happening? I’ve spent hours on this and can’t find the problem or any published solutions.

index.php is used for both the front page and page itself. If I change the to the_excerpt it just shows the excerpt on both pages

How can I show the excerpt on the main page and full article on the page itself if they are both using the same index.php?
