Helpful is including the text “Was this helpful? Submit Cancel Thanks for your feedback!” at the end of external social media posts.

The above text appears at the end of published WebMentions, as well.

This text is ‘out of context’ when appearing in these situations. A viewer would not be able to act upon the options given (plus, it makes shared posts and webmentions look like a bot generated them).

How can this be resolved?

I have changed my other pages to the horizontal style, but the thumbnail is too small. If I can’t fix the stacked style, is there any way to increase the image size in the horizontal style?

I have already tried many solutions by typing scripts in functions.php and using the “Snippets” plugin. Without results. Any ideas on how to remove / disable it. Without violating the “Read more” concept. From what I can see, 3 dots are represented as … and are added to the end of the text after which the “Read more” tag is set

Is there a way to set it so it only shows the excerpt text from the blog page, rather than the posts themselves? Or at least only shows the most recent post rather than multiple posts?

One block in the Home page is for “latest posts”. I have an excerpt/preview – default is the first sentences of the post.
Problem: Each post preview has the text “share the love” at the beginning of the excerpt.

Not sure how old the color mag tutorial is (I find it great and really helpful) but a few things don’t seem right – for example I don’t have a widget called “TG: Featured Posts Vertical widget” but thats okay it’s sorted.

My query is about the excerpt text. The instructions are:

Go to your post editor screen in the dashboard.
In post editor screen look for the Screen Options button at top-right part of the screen.
Click on it and make sure the Excerpt check-box option is checked.
Now, somewhere below the main post editor box, you should be able to see the the Excerpt option box.
Add your manual excerpt there with desired amount of text and Update the post.

However, when I go to the options in post editor screen, I don’t have an excerpt check-box, and this is making my site look a little messy because I can’t control the excerpt text.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Is this done though a template? Sorry but I don’t know much about the template system.

I am wondering if there is anyway to customize the excerpt text that appears on the homepage alongside the featured image for my posts. In some cases, I have preface text at the top of my post that I do not want to use as the excerpt on the homepage, but by default, that is what shows up. Is there any way to specify what text I want to use for the excerpt?
