Hi,

I want list specific categories in the search (ie, selected categories with child categories) and exclude others.

Is this possible in the free version?

If so, could you provide an example shortcode?

I’d like to exclude a certain category from being included in bulk discounts. Out of the 175+ items in my store (and their variations), only those in the fundraising category (about 10 products) should be excluded from discounts. Is there a way to exclude certain products? I just set up the bulk discounts but don’t see a way to exclude certain items. I also could not find a similar issue in the forum.

Hi!
I have been very happy using your plugin. The only trouble I am having is that I have a number of draft posts under the category ‘uncategorized’ which I do not want included in the search. I have added in the category ID to be excluded. This is partly working. The post is still appearing in the list but when you click on it you are taken to a 404 page. Is there a way to not have it appear in the list at all?

When I list the categories to exclude from the results and save them, they still show up on my website as thumbnails. I copy and pasted the slugs with commas between each page but still don’t work.

i also want to change the size of the thumbnails but each time i save my changes it reverts back to the default. Can you help me fix this?

Is there also a way to change the layout of 6 – 8 thumbnails to appear one row instead of 2 or 3 rows?

On the mobile site version of www.theballetblog.com – The hero image of each article appears below the related article thumbnails and I want the thumbnails to appear below all article content. how can I do this?

Excluding Portfolio category?? (within this example)

Hi everyone,

This is my first post. I am in no way experienced in wordpress development. In fact my experience doesn’t go further then occasional “hacking” to modify a purchased template for my own use.

Now I did happen to purchase a nice template. It has the “portfolio” section. I have been creating several categories for my portfolio items and I am now trying to show all of them except 1 category.

I have contacted the developer but he seems very uninterested in helping out and dodging my emails by 1 sentence explanation like : our template allows showing only 1 category at a time or all of them at once.

I find it hard to believe, but if that’s the case I’ll admit the defeat.

I have been reading about term-id, category exclusion, custom query loops and what not. I simply cant get my head around it. Could someone experienced please guide me what I have to do within the below code. (hope that is enough?)

Custom loop not working

Hi,

I’m having one helluva time customizing a single loop, my index.php loop, to post everything but 2 categories. I’ve read everywhere it should be as simple as putting a simple line of code, , in the case of category “7,” for instance, just before the loop you’re looking to alter. But no deal.

Plus I’ve tried every variation I could get my hands on, and nothing is working. Am I not doing something? Like specifying something in the admin area, say? Because I’ve been at this all day, and had various loops do everything, but what I want. Which is to exclude 2 categories, from listing on my front page.
