Show existing blog as local install?

I have an existing webpage at

www.sample.com/me

to which I’d like to add a WordPress blog:

www.sample.com/me/blog

. I recently went through the steps to get a local install of WordPress on my webserver and it worked totally fine, so I can view the above link.

Now, I also have an external WordPress account:

https://riemannianhunger.wordpress.com/

, and what I’d like is for the link

www.sample.com/me/blog

to be exactly the blog housed at https://riemannianhunger.wordpress.com/ (so that I can update riemannianhunger and have those updates shown locally, etc.). Is this something I can do?

Overall, I’m very new to WordPress installs so please bear with me if I’m slow with my explanations, etc.

HELP! Newbie to WP. Want to make existing site/blog (created in wordpress software – hosted on Godaddy) be visible on WordPress Blogging Platform for more exposure.

Purchased domain mapping. Seemed to work well – BUT how do I get my posts on my site to actually make it to WordPress Blog?
Now it seems I have 2 WordPress dashboards. How can I make it ONE dashboard? Would rather use the one on my site with DIVI. Will use either – just NEED my blog Posts to get through.

I tried a test post through new WordPress account – but when I go to view it – it does not put it my blog post area – it gives me an error that says the post doesn’t exist.

I’ve tried a test post through my site – can’t find it on WordPress blog.

What am I doing wrong? I want to blog either through my site and have it post to WP Blog OR post through WP and have it update my site.

I have an existing blog and domain purchased through a WP.com premium account. Can I keep WP.com as my host (instead of hosting my own) but still use WP.org to edit its appearance, add plug-ins, etc.? If I cannot, are there instructions for how to download an existing site and sending to another host? I’m new but I have accomplished downloading and installing the WP.org software and now need to know how to access my existing code on my existing WP.com-hosted site.

Transferring from online editor to installed version

Hi all,
So I’m relatively new to wordpress, but I’ve been using the online editor or iPad app to make blog posts. Recently I realized that plugins and further customization options were only available on the installed version of WP. So I finally figured out how to get it on my mac, but I can’t login in to my current website. (Hopefully this is making sense so far).

When I was installing the program onto my computer, at the 5-minute installation part it asked for all my user info, and my existing info didn’t work. I’m just not sure how to continue editing and posting on my EXISTING blog from the downloaded application…

Any insight or help would be awesome. i would hate to have to restart…

Getting all Meta data and custom placement

I have integrated wordpress in my existing site, just using the blog. The plugin just prints the meta information at the place where my blog is included, so in my case not in the header. With which function can I just receive all Meta and store it in a variable so that I could output it where I want? Somethin like amt_get_basic_metadata?

Hi guys,

I’m planning to do some blogging with my new business (website not yet created, but have bought domain).

My question is: if I start a WordPress blog today, will it be hard to then add it to my website once it’s built? I’m planning on building it with either Shopify or BigCommerce.

Sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere but I couldn’t find anyone else in quite the same situation.

In easy-to-understand language….I have an existing blog. Now I want to begin a website to add to that blog. How, step-by-step, do I do that? Will it be on the same page, same domain name? How do I begin creating the website? Will it appear on my blog page? Please help. I am a newbie so please, please, please be specific.

Static Front Page on Existing Blog

I want to convert my blog site – I want a static front page that links to various pages and the blog. I’ve read the documentation in the codex and created the landing (static) page. The thing that worries me is part two of the instructions. It says “DO NOT add content to the Blog Page. Leave it blank. Any content here will be ignored — only the Title is used.” What I thought I’d enter as the second page is my existing landing page for the blog. Wrong?
