And now Post Expirator works fine again.

Expiration not working consistently

Lately we’ve had a couple posts set to expire… and they just haven’t. Not sure what I can really post here to help troubleshoot. Maybe just seeing if others are having the same issue. We are still on WP 4.9.8. Regular “‘delete’ after XYZ date” and it just sits there with nothing happening. Though I just created a new one to test and it worked fine.

Can someone please explain how these are supposed to work as Im having trouble understanding it/getting it to work.

I have a page that display posts from category ‘shows’ on the expiration date id like the posts category to change to category ‘showsarchive’ which should mean they dont display on that posts page anymore?

It’d be great if the category functions would be enabled on pages.

Categories aren’t enabled on pages by default in WordPress, but there are plenty of other plugins that activate category/tag features for Pages in addition to Posts. Category changes to pages, rather than just Status updates would be greatly helpful.

For example, I have some pages that are necessary for my jquery menu. If these pages go Draft or Delete, that would be catastrophic.

Category: Replace Behaviour

Does anyone know how I could change the expiration after “Category Replacement”? The problem I am having is after a post “expires” I change the category on it, however once this occurs the “How to expire” is still active, meaning if this post were to be updated then it would expire to draft making the post disappear from the front-end. Is it possible to have the default expiration option set to “never” after the Category: Replace occurs? I feel like this is functionality that should have built in from the beginning.

Post Expirator not working on Windows Server?

For anyone that hasn’t been able to get Post Expirator to work. Are you on Windows Server? I haven’t been able to find anything on Cron Jobs in Windows environment except maybe that its related to Task Scheduler. Any help would be great.
