Move from tumblr to WordPress

Hey there
I got some problems with moving from tumblr to wordpress.
The problem is that when I activate the access to tumblr and want to import my files with wordpress import tool, it first creates thumbnails instead of images. And to add that it couldn’t also export the source links right. So I’s getting a bit hard working on 1600 posts than.

Can you please help me what I should do? And of course i want to know how to not host all the pictures and videos by myself.

Doesn't work

This plugin provides a widget that in turn presents viewers with a button for downloading the entire blog as a PDF file.

Nothing happened for 15 minutes when I clicked the button, excepting that “arcotray.exe” (the Adobe routine for converting files from one format to another) was activated on my desktop, which hogged 50% of my quad core CPU!

It also took me half an hour of CPU log probing to determine that arcotray.exe was the culprit. I’m determined to stay away from this plugin in the near future.

Blog posts and 404

Hey, there,

I recently developed a site on a mirror site then when I activated the regular site, my blogs started getting 404 not found.

I exported the blogs from the mirror site and imported to new site but still getting 404.

The blogs are there – if you go to their index page you’ll see them:

it’s when you click through to the individual blog you get the error message? Any suggestions? The URL’s are matching the permalinks so i’m not sure what’s going on.

Drop Down Categories Not Showing

I using Coffee Break 1.7.1 by WooThemes. I have imported my blog content from another blog(TTFStx Blog) into the new one (New TTFStx Blog) successfully. In the dashboard, I can see all my post.

PROBLEMS
I am not able to get hover over blog menu item to show the imported category list. It only shows the default News category that came pre-installed with the theme.

In addition, I am not able to successfully see any new categories that I create show up in the drop down window either. Thus I am not able to see the imported blog content off the main webpage either when I click on Blogmenu item.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please help! Impossible to import my Blogger files

to wordpress. I’ve tried several “fixes” including setting up a .wordpress account, exporting my blogger files to a .blogspot account and trying to export B to A. Still, it hangs after about 80 posts and I get a “set users” message. I also tried the Google Wxr export tool, but my file is too large at 25.5mb. I am trying to move a longstanding blog with about 5800 posts, and am near the point of giving up the ghost on this one. Can anyone help?

Export a free wordpress blog

I have a free WordPress blog today (teamprofit.wordpress.com) that I want to host elsewhere. WordPress recommends Bluehost. I did not quiet get a yes from Bluehost about the possibilty of exporting all my stuff from the recent blog to the new one under a separate domain address hosted by them.

I want to use the WordPress platform and I do not want to start all over again, so my question is:

Is that doable, and easy to set up? (Bluehost or any other hosting company)
