Worst Import Export Plugin!

I just remembered I used this before and its quite confusing if you’re doing this the first time.

Installed the plugin on the first site, started the export. Ran smoothly.

Then installed the plugin on the second site, started the import process. Experience was confusing and I didn’t know I would just drag and drop the id from the right to the inputs.

After trying a similar plugin it was smoother coz it was labeled well. I realized after using another plugin that this could be similar to this plugin.

If you can label and make the experience better it could be better.

Import/Export with exact IDs?

We made a brand new version of an existing website which had hundreds of posts with Maxbuttons that we imported and they used over 100 different MaxButtons. Doesn’t look like they used the plugin in the best way because all that is in the post is the shortcode with the ID (No URL etc.) Can I export all the buttons with the exact same IDs from the old WordPress to the new so they will show up in the new website in the posts with out manually changing anything? Or is there some way to make an exact copy of the plug-in with the data to the new site? (We are not duplicating the whole old site)

Good plugin, but some bugs

This plugin does a pretty good job. However, on step 3, you cannot drag fields as the author describes. (Tested on 3 fresh installs with no other plugins, FF, Chrome, Safari, IE ).

The workaround until the author implements is a fix is to right click on the field on the right column and them right click paste into the matching field on the left.

Also, if you go to update a post type, it won’t work. So that feature is falsely advertised.

Bottom line, this plugin is frustrating to use and has many bugs. It has a ways to go before being a good solution for imports. Also, the price of the pro version is outrageous. I would not pay $50 for this plugin.

No "Appearance/Plugin" items on dashboard menu???

Intended to export a client’s blog from one WP install to a new one today using the WP export/import plugins, however on their original WP blog, I am not seeing “Appearance” or “Plugins” in the dashboard menu from which to install the Export plugin. I’ve already installed the import plugin on the new install, but that doesn’t prove useful if I have no way to export the old one…

Any suggestions as to how I can get the appearance/plugins items to appear? Very puzzled.

Exporting a specific plugin's associations with PHPMyAdmin

I’m using a plugin called Taxonomy Images and on my live site I’ve created a whole load of image associations with a custom taxonomy of mine. I’d like to transfer those associations to a local install where I’ve been tweaking my site. The local site has the Taxonomy Images installed as well as my custom taxonomy registered. Would anyone be able to help me with the relevant SQL query to grab the relationships between terms and images? Is that even possible with the images currently only on the live server?

I have some information:
* This plugin will store to sets of settings in the
* options table. The first is named ‘taxonomy_image_plugin’
* and stores the associations between terms and images. The
* keys in this array represent the term_taxonomy_id of the
* term while the value represents the ID of the image
* attachment.

These are the values I need to export.
Any help? Thanks.
