]]>How could this be accomplished? It should be in the general.php page. I can get the value of the “memeber type” field for the specified user to set the condition but I couldn’t find out how to make the email field readonly if the condition is true! using the readonly attribute when the condition is true, makes the field readonly in all cases!
Anybody knows how?
]]>However, I can’t figure out how to actually VIEW or edit an extended profile page. (I’m using the default BP theme at the moment, although it’s obscuring some other functionality so I’ll eventually need to find an alternative.) Is there a permalink that I can add as a menu item or some other way to enter and view the extended profiles?
Thanks.
]]>Sorry for postic this Buddypress related topic here, but the Buddypress forum is not very active, so I was hoping that someone here could help.
I have searched for hours to try to understand how to properly use the extended / custom profile fields in Buddypress but I am still puzzled.
I need to know:
– How to I get all the custom profile fields I create in Buddypress to show on the register and members page and have this data to be properly stored in the database?
And I would also like to know:
– If it would be possible to have a drop-down list with the different profile field sections that the registering user can choose from, eg. the user could choose what type of member he/she would like to become (eg. private member, company, organisation…) and depending on what he chose from the drop-down menu, a different profile field / register page would appear.
Many thanks!
]]>By default BuddyPress plugin has The well Knowed (Profile Setup Page) and the custom field types (Check list, SelectBox, Text Box, Text Area, Etc).
I Would like to create in BuddyPress Extended Profile for example, 3 different field types like 3 text box (each one with different width).
Can You Help Me Please. i dont know how to do it in buddypress profile, in wordpress user profile is easy, but i need this in Buddy press user profile.
or maybe someone can tell men how to add manually a profile field.
Thanks.
