Featured Image not working (f8 theme)

Hello,

I am using the f8 theme, have done for several years.
I have a static header image for the site but when you click on posts the header changes to the featured Image of your choice in your post.

a few days ago, this stopped working. No idea why
Can anyone help or does anyone have idea’s on how to fix this mysterious problem?

f8 lite thumbnail stretching on category pages

Firstly, big thanks to the producers of the f8 theme because it’s beautiful and free and is much appreciated.

I’m working on FlipFlopsandRaincoats.com and my issue is the common one of thumbnails being stretched.

I’ve found the solution for the home page and right now, that looks lovely. But on my category pages, for example, they’re back to being stretched and weird. I can’t figure out how to apply the solution to the cat pages (or any others for that matter).

Here’s what I tried successfully:

On the 7th line you should find the following code:

array( ‘thumbnail’ ), ‘default_size’ => ‘thumbnail’, ‘width’ => ‘310’, ‘height’ => ‘150’ ) ); ?>

Replace thumbnail with post-thumbnail, you should have something like this:

array( ‘post-thumbnail’ ), ‘default_size’ => ‘post-thumbnail’, ‘width’ => ‘310’, ‘height’ => ‘150’ ) ); ?>

Here’s what I’ve already done/doesn’t work:

Logo insertion – F8 Lite Theme

Hi,

I do appologise, but I am a complete newbie at this.

My website is www.rubbersidedown.com.au and I am really harpy with the way it has come together using F8 Lite.

My one issue is that I want to replace ‘Rubber Side Down Cycling’ (text) on the top left of every page with a logo. I have tried to add using Appearance>Theme Options>Logo Image but once uploaded using Gallery it won’t save or appear on the site.

Can I ask for step by step instructions on how to fix this please? As mentioned, I am new at this, so as simple as possible would be appreciated.

I am using the plugin f8 light and using a front page as a static home page. On the separate blog page that I created, only an excerpt of the post is displayed. Being a photography blog, I want the entire post displayed on this page along with pictures. Right now I have to click on a heading to view the whole post. How can I fix this?

I also would like to know which would be the exact size of a background image so that it fits all the screen, because it seems that it’s not possible to expand it, just repeat it as a mosaic.

Difference between F8 and F8 lite?

Can anyone give me an explanation of the difference between F8 and F8 lite? I’m a new user and just looking for a good free theme, I’m assuming F8 lite is somewhat of a stripped-down free version of the F8 theme, which costs money? Is that correct? Trying to figure out if I need to buy something or if everything I need will be in one of the free themes.

On that note, any recommendations for themes similar to F8 would be appreciated.

Widgets won't get sorted on all pages

Hey folks,
If you havr a look at my page https://www.rene-photography.de/ you will see, that all widgets are in one cullom on the first page. On other pages there are sorted in these colums, like i sorted them in the dashboard. I use the f8 lite theme.

What’s wrong there?

How can i change that?

Hey folks,
I just run into a problem. On my site https://www.rene-photography.de/ i want to change the colors of the widgets and the lines around them from grey to white. How can i do that? I already changed the white text using the editor in the themes tab. I cant find the right line for the last grey colored text and lines, can you help me to find them? I am using the theme f8 lite.

I’m trying to hide the “uncategorized” category from showing up in the categories widget (currently included on the index page). I am also using the F8 (not Lite) theme.

f8 "View Work" drop down menu

Hi,

The other day I accidentally reset all the customisable option for my f8 theme. Prior to that, when you clicked the “View Work” drop down menu in the very top right corner it showed my latest posts. Now it shows the posts from one of my categories.

I can’t see to find an option anywhere to change this. Any ideas?
