I’ve tried adding a Facebook App ID following the video in the documentation. However I’m getting the following error on the front end, when trying to share highlighted text through Facebook:

Invalid app ID: The provided app ID does not look like a valid app ID.

My Id is: 737467567127410

Is there something I’m missing?

Resolved! App was set to developer mode – most likely by accident

The App ID is 100% correct, and always worked.
Today I set up Yoast and tried to enter my Facebook App ID, but only receive this error message.
Even when I set up a new App on Facebook it is the same error.
YOAST, please fix this.

FB Sharing Debugger gives a warning about missing property:
The following required properties are missing: fb:app_id

Unless I am mistaken, FB App ID is optional, not required.
Any thoughts?

Hello

I am trying to use Social Sharing using a Facebook App ID but when I enter an ID my quiz appears to be using to an ID that I don’t recognise and not the one that I have submitted. I am pretty sure this worked fine until the last upgrade.

I have a valid, live FB app and I continue to receive the following error: The Facebook App ID you entered doesn’t exist.

I checked my ID manually and received this result:

I am getting message in Yoast seo social as :- The Facebook App ID you entered doesn’t exist.

I already have an App ID but it doesnt seem to be working. I cant get preview image.

I tries sharing the debugger tool. And also tried putting the code :- https://graph.facebook.com/ and it gives me error ( which means i am doing something wrong, is it?)

Can anyone help me here?

I had been using this plugin for years. In recent months, we decided to reboot the site by starting from scratch. When setting up Yoast social, I entered my Facebook App ID, that I have had for nine years, and it claims that my App ID doesn’t appear to be valid. I went as far as creating a new one and it’s still the same. I never experienced this issue ever, but I can’t get any support for this issue unless I pay. Ridiculous. Gonna try another one now. It was good while it lasted but don’t have an issue unless you want to pay.

Scraper says “FB App ID missing” but it’s there

None of our images on FB are showing up, despite having created an app some time ago and putting in the app ID and secret for the plugin. The app isn’t public, so I even tried making it public (had to add a privacy policy), but that didn’t help either. Not sure what else to do, so if anyone can suggest something, I’d appreciate it.
