Hi,
Updated my .htaccess file to read…
php_value upload_max_filesize 64M
php_value post_max_size 64M
php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value max_input_time 300

the addition is at the very end of the file. Some files upload with no problems. Others get errors for example…
“02-Sy_Ari_Da_Kid-Don_t_Make_Me.mp3” has failed to upload due to an error
Failed to write file to disk.

I can upload files of any size it just seems to be random files.
I tried on my main page https://www.yaboydigital.tk Thought it was do to some plugins so did a fresh install on a old site i had. Same problem.

Other update i made was to .htaccess..
php_value memory_limit 128M
was added to top line. I use this to keep my server from getting php fatal error messages.

Same error occurs no matter if i use browser up loader or muti-file up loader.

Failed to Write File to Disk Error while Uploading Images in WordPress

I am unable to upload media or update WordPress and I am not sure the reason. I have 3 separate websites using the same version of wordpress, two of which are on Dreamhost and uploading is not an option. I last inserted media on 4-21-2014, and found last night that it no longer works. I inserted a file into the FTP, hoping it would show in my account, but with no luck. Depending the file size and whether I use the Multi-file or Browser upload I receive different error messages Including Http Error, Failed to Write File to Disk, Error saving media attachment, and an Internal Service Error. I have reset the permission as reference in other threads, but with no luck. Any clue as to what could cause the error? Thanks for the help

This morning I tried to upload images to my site, as usual, and kept getting a “Failed to write file to disk” error. I have no idea what the problem is, since I have never had any problems uploading images. Please help!

I’ve never had problems uploading pictures/files until now. I’m wondering if this is a wordpress problem or that too many pictures have been posted on my website. I believe that it’s a wordpress problem.

Whenever I attempt to upload, I receive this message:
“tonyB.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
Failed to write file to disk.”

Please tell me how this problem can be resolved.

When I try to upload any image this is the error that I get:

Failed to write file to disk
(that is using the Flash uploader)

Error saving media attachment
(that is if I use the Browser uploader)

I have 3 wordpress blogs with this particular host – all version 2.9.2

Everything has been working just fine. I added no new plugins or anything. The system on all 3 of them just started chucking this error!

File permission are unchanged (755) to the wp-content/uploads directory.

What gives???

i upload photos and it says “Failed to write file to disk”

i went to my ftp filemanager checked everything, then i deactived each at a time nothing !!! I have been doing this on my own since october and everthing worked out really great … now what??? Can anyone help me please???

When trying to upload images in 2.7 i get an error Failed to write file to disk when using the browser upload.

Have replicated this problem on more than 1 blog using

Mac and Firefox 3.0.4
and
Vista on IE8 and Firefox 3.0.4

Oh and the flash upload doesn’t work either.

When I try to upload an image it gives me the error: ‘Failed to write file to disk.’

I don’t understand why i have this problem the permision is at 777, i readed here that i have to change something in the ini.php, but i can’t find where it is, it’s missing. Please help me with an advise.

After i choose to upload my photo from my computer, i got this message..

“Failed to write file to disk.”

i don’t why, because my photo can not upload to server. why?
