Nav bar drop down menus are falling behind the plugin

Nav bar drop down menus are falling behind the plugin.
Using 2011 theme. Just updated to satellite. Now my Nav bar drop down menus are falling behind the plugin. Advise? Does the z-index need to be revised? if so, where exactly in the css is that located?
Please advise.

No Menu in The Admin Section ?

Hey, maybe i am blind or is has something to do with my theme (falling dreams) or something went wrong, but when i join the admin area, i only see the dashboard with some informations,

but there is nothing like a “options” “plugins” or the possibility to set anything else up ! The dropdown menu at the top has only: “draft, new post, comment and upload” and thats all. and so thats all i can do !

Where is everything else ?
Or what is going on ?

Falling sidebar

I am getting super frustrated with this sidebar issue. I can see by reading all of the forums before me that it is a common issue. I just added a new post and the entire content of both my left and right sidebars fell to the bottom of my page. I tried to repositon widgets and it does not correct the problem. I am not a code savy kind of gal. I want to be able to type in my posts and have my website looking like somthing people want to come back to. Someone PLEASE help me get this fixed so I don’t look ridiculous.

another falling sidebar problem

I too am one of the many who is having problems with a falling sidebar. So others know, this is not a problem that is unique to WordPress. I had the exact same problem on another website I built. There were no orphaned div tags, no blog posts, no cms, just a plain html website. I could not resolve the problem and had to give up on CMS and move things into tables. I thought at the time it was a problem with IE7 because that is the only browser where I had the problem. Now I’m seeing the same thing with a new site in which I’m using WP and I’m seeing it in various browsers.

All of you are searching for something in your code, like a missing tag, but I think this is more of a problem with the browsers not obeying the rules. The reason I say that is because this problem comes and go when you refresh the page. That’s why many of you have said, it was down at the bottom and now it’s at the top and you don’t know why. You refreshed; that’s why.

But what that does or why, I haven’t a clue. And I have no clue how to fix it. I gave up at one point and tried to put the content area of WP into a table, but then it all blew apart – no surprise. So I have to work with what was given me, but how do I fix this?

Sidebar Falling in IE

Hey all,

On my site I recently added DEMOCRACY, to add a poll to the sidebar.

After doing so though, I noticed that the sidebar is falling way down below my blog when viewed in IE.

When viewed in Safari and Firefox though everything is A-OK.

Any ideas on how I could go about fixing this?

Need help editing CSS in WP for Gallery

I’ve successfully integrated Gallery2 into my WordPress blog, but am having trouble making the gallery’s background look right. I need the gallery’s background to be white, but right now it’s transparent to WP’s background image. I assume I need to change/add the table background color in a CSS file somewhere, but which one? I’ve tried editing both the CSS file for Gallery’s theme and my WP’s CSS theme sheet, but nothing’s worked so far. Anyone have any input on this?

Date issues with ‘Falling Leaves’ Theme

I am using the theme designed by Shawn on my blog and I must laud his efforts for creating such a good minimalist theme Thanks Shawn.

I had a question to ask about an issue which I have been facing for a long time. When I post 2 articles on my blog on the same day , the date for the earlier entry vanishes. For instance, if I posted an article on August 24 and then post another one on that same day, the former would lose its published date while the latter would retain it.

I also saw this happening on another blog which was using the ‘Falling LEaves’ theme and I wanted to make sure if there is an option to correct this feature. If Shawn can help, then there’s nothing like it but if anyone of you using this theme, has come across a solution, then please let me know

header images in Falling Dreams

I was trying to use the Falling Dreams theme earlier, which features several different header images, and none of them would show up! I’m new to WordPress and themes and not sure of what I’m doing wrong.

This is what the theme is supposed to look like:

The images rotate, kind of like they do in the Random-image Kubrick theme.

I looked at the css file and couldn’t find anywhere that mentioned header images. I managed to get the other images (icons, etc.) to show up but not the headers. Help?
