I am a new GP user, with the Scribe template. I saw a lot of posts about removing or randomizing the featured post, but I am looking for quite the opposite. As of now, publishing a new post in a category is replacing the featured article by this new post. My questions is :
How can I keep the same featured article on a category ?
I have looked in the elements section, articles section, WP show posts, but did not find how to do it.

When a ‘sticky post’ is created, the headline “Featured Article”, with a lightbulb icon, appears above the post.
I would like to change the words to something else, and maybe use a different icon.
I’ve only made edits to this, or any WP site, through the dashboard. I’ve searched through the Editor portion of Appearance in the dashboard, and via ‘inspect element’; but can’t find where to make this change.
Any help would be appreciated – and the simple/step-by-step, the better.

]]>So with the new featured article function (on the profile, shouldn’t when clicking on the “featured” image of the post I’ll be redirected to the article? When its currently clicked, it just opens up a light box and expands the featured image.

I want to put a manual excerpt in the “Latest Article” section on my home page, so I have nice and neat text instead of all the links from audio and video inputs etc. But I keep strugling, because when I add the_excerpt function, it shows the both: the manual exceprt of the post I’ve added and the original automated post excerpt.
