WP Import All have the featured to include Featured image Url (plugin) option in their csv importer.
I love ur csv importer more but could you please add include Featured image Url plugin option

if i set featured image in a post on my blog and published , on the homepage it shows blank this has affected most of my post on my blog (www.hipradar.net) this issue started last two weeks.

WordPress Core adds images via Upload and from the Media Library. For 2 years now I’ve been waiting for WordPress to add the option of a featured image via a url link (external url or from file server). Please incorporate this in the next WordPress version.

Featured image not importing from URL

Hi,

I have a CSV file with products details in which the images are from an external URL.
The URL format is like:
https://www.externalsitename.ro/images/Add19/image_name.jpg
All the other details are imported, except the featured image.
Can you give me some hints?

Add Custom URL to Featured Image

I have some featured images appearing inside an Info Box on the homepage of my website at www.seychellesescapes.co.uk .

When I add the featured image there is no facility to add a custom URL to the image. Anyone any ideas how I can do this.

Currently I can attach an image to my post as per usual but it doesn’t show on the preview of the post, only when I open the post. I think I am right in saying that I need a featured image, but my images are all hosted on amazon web services, and I cannot see a way to show the featured image using URL, only directly from library.

Any way of doing this with URL link?

Hi, I have a question regarding featured image permalinks. Currently, for an image to be featured, it has to be in the wordpress media library. Lets say, this is my image url:
https://mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/myImage.jpg

I do not like the permalink structure for the media images. Also I do not want to use wordpress media as I prefer to use my own ftp program.

Instead of choosing wordpress media images as featured images, I want to choose my own image from a different url (shorter url example https://mydomain.com/image.jpg).

Is it possible for the featured image (shown on homepage) to be from my own shorter url instead?

I am currently using a child theme.

when using your plugin, the featured image displays in the post and as thumbnail.

is it possible to link from the image in the post back to the external source url?

If so, how?
