Really useful plugin. Does exactly what it says it will with most feeds. Doesn’t work with all feeds, though. Kind of strange, because all of the feeds I added work well with every web-based and stand alone RSS reader I’ve tried.

NOTE: If a feed isn’t compatible, the plugin gives the error message:

Error https://xyz.com/feed/ couldn't be parsed. Simple Pie said:

and that’s it. No indication of what the Simple Pie error actually is. No idea why some RSS feeds won’t work.

NOTE 2: Some feeds come with http or https. You have to tinker with the url by adding or removing the “s” to make some feeds work.

NOTE 3: Not all images appear, even if they are visible in a feed reader. Also, images that are attachments to a post, but not a feature image, don’t show up.

Those are mostly minor issues to me. This is a great plugin. Hats off to the developer.

Trouble with RSS

WordPress updated a few weeks ago and ever since then, the RSS reader on my website has been unable to get the feed from my wordpress blog. The feed url I am using is https://foxvalleygivingmatters.org/feed/ and it’s the one I was using quite successfully up until a few weeks ago. The issue is not with the feed reader on our website, since it successfully reads other news rss feeds successfully. Am I using the incorrect URL for my blog? Or is it something that I can’t fix?

I am trying to embed a feed on my site. I have the feed properly embedded and everything seems to be working except one thing. The feed updates…

How often is the embedded feed supposed to update? It seems that the feed is stuck at the articles that were available to the feed when I put the short code in my template.

Problems with RSS feed after moving my blog

Hi,

I recently moved my blog to a different URL and I’m having some problems with the RSS feed (I use Google Reader). If I enter my domain name to Google Reader (https://breakthesky.net) I get a “the requested feed cannot be found” error. But if I type in https://breakthesky.net/feed, the feed is found and I can subscribe. Is there any way I can fix it so that entering only the URL will find my feed? I’m not sure why it isn’t being found. Thanks so much!

Need WordPress Plugin To Pull In Whole News Story For Newspaper

I’m building a newspaper on wordpress (www.InternationalChronicle.com). I have found 3 good WordPress Plugins that pull in the feeds, but I think they only pull the titles into your site and once you click on the titles, that will take you to a new site. Maybe I’m wrong and they pull in the whole news story?

Has anyone ever heard of a free plugin that will pull in the whole news story and not just the title so readers stay on your page? Will only a scrapper do this? I guess if there’s nothing that does this for free, I’d consider paying if someone knows of a good plugin.

RSS feed not working, can't find server

My RSS feed doesn’t seem to be working. After I click to open it from the address bar, I get that Safari “Failed to open page” with the message: Safari can’t open the page “feed://www.decouverterre.com/?feed=rss2” because Safari can’t find the server “www.decouverterre.com”.

I’m new to all this … not sure what that means. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feed Validator says my feed is valid but other feed readers are not recognizing that the RSS feed exists.

Plugin for getting pics into Feed Readers

I’m not able to get any pics (thumbnails) from my posts to show up in feed readers.

This is an example of what I’m trying to accomplish.

See how the thumbnail appears on the left of each listing. I’m able to accomplish everything else but can’t get the pic to appear.

Is there a plug-in for this?
