Prob upgrading to 281 with Firefox 3

Hi,

I’ve successfuly upgraded all my sites to 2.8.1 with IE 8, but when trying with Firefox 3 the upgrade stopped. No error message, just stopped after the upgrade had downloaded. IE 8 did the upgrades in about 6 seconds. Each, I mean.

Anyone else had a similar problem, or is it just me?

Hi, my sidebar is below my posts (I think only in Firefox 3). I’ve heard this is a issue, but I can’t figure out exactly how to get rid of the error. The site is https://www.californiapatriot.org/blog/. I ran it through a markup validator:

WordPress 2.6 hangs Firefox 3 occasionally

A few days ago, I upgraded from WordPress 2.3 to 2.6. Since then, generally everything works fine, but every now & then, opening an existing post seems to lock Firefox at 100% processor usage & after a few minutes I’ve had to kill Firefox.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? It seems to occur just after the page has started loading – there is some stuff visible on screen, but not everything.

It probably affects one out of every fifteen or so times I try & load a page.

Prior to the 2.6 upgrade I never experienced the problem – I am running various plugins, but these were all at the same version beforehand.

If you take a look at the site using Firefox 3 you will notice that the white container for the body of the text is broken, and a large section is off to the left by a single pixel. This problem doesn’t happen with any other browser, just with Firefox 3.

Does anyone have any idea about what might be causing this problem?

Hi, i’m surprised. In all browsers including Firefox 2* my WordPress blog was in my native (czech) language as stated in config. But now ONLY in Firefox 3 (english version) – my site is in default (english) language. Any ideas?

PS: i turned off all firefox extensions

Firefox 3.0 and the admin page

With Firefox 3.0 when I log in to the admin pages the dashboard keeps loading and loading and loading… and nothing happens for ages. On the other hand when I look at it from Opera it works fine. When I was using 2.3 everything was perfect. But I don’t want to downgrade since I like the new 2.5.1 admin pages look. ;]

Edit: Oh I almost forgot. There are problems with it in Opera as well. The problem is that you cannot click on any button. With IE7 it works well.

Firefox 3 theme trouble

Hi all,

I installed a theme on www.flippinsweetdesign.com that works fine in the old Firefox, Safari, and IE. Firefox 3 doesn’t seem to like it. The header is completely messed up and the logo isn’t showing up at all. Is anyone else having trouble with their theme and Firefox 3? Does anyone know what could be causing the issue?

Firefox 3 Quick Find Apostrophe Bug in WordPress 2.5.1

A problem with Firefox 3 and WordPress 2.5.1: When typing into the main body of a post in the visual (rich) editor, hitting the apostrophe will bring up the Firefox Quick Find box above the status bar. With this problem, it is not possible to type the apostrophe character into the post text box. This bug does not occur in other types of text boxes or in the non-rich editor.

I have tried every fix listed in the Firefox Knowledge Base and online. Nothing works. In the past this has been a known issue in Firefox except that it occurred in all types of text boxes rather than just one kind. Not only that, but a handful of solutions existed. I tried them all and had no success at fixing the problem.

In short, this renders useless the editing box for posts in WordPress.

Any ideas for fixes?

Any ideas why my site www.hornyoyster.com isn’t loading properly in FF 3.0?

You’ll notice the right sidebar overlaps the content fields. This FF version was just released, so I’m not sure if anyone has much experience with it yet. Any ideas?

Major problem only with Firefox 3

For some reason on my website I am having major problems for Fire Fox 3 users. It works on literally every other browser but FF3. My sidebars are distributed all over the page, and it constantly is reloading. What can I do before the official release to fix this problem?
