Why does ‘focus keyphrase’ not show up on any SEO audit applications/services?

Can someone please explain why the the Yoast ‘Focus keyphrase’ doesn’t show up on any SEO audit applications or services?

I’ve tried Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, Sitebulb and others, and they all pickup other meta data like the ‘Meta Description’ and ‘SEO Title’, but never the ‘Focus keyphrase’.

Can someone explain why this is? If the ‘Focus keyphrase’ isn’t being picked up in SEO audits, is it even relevant?

Greetings. I have an inquiry about the Yoast SEO plugin, or perhaps this is more of a feature request.

I compose most of my posts offline and upload them to my site via the WordPress API. I see that in Yoast’s configuration there are options to automatically generate the SEO title and Meta description using fields from the post. Please see the screen shot below.

Would it be possible to add the option to specify a field from which to draw the Focus keyphrase? As far as I know, the keyphrase must be manually entered for each post. See the screenshot below.

Hello, I noticed that the focus keyphrase stopped showing on my WordPress dashboard. Only the meta description option is available to edit, but even after editing, it still shows “not available” on the right side of the WordPress editor.

What could be the problem?

Having installed the free Yoast SEO plugin, at the bottom of every page in my site there is a Yoast SEO section, in which the first field is “Focus keyphrase”. Do the contents of this field somehow get used automatically by Google’s search algorithm? If not, what is the point of filling it in?

Hi I’ve been using Yoast for years on my website. I can’t get the focus keyphrase or meta description to save on the page.

The featured image is also not saving.

It looks like my previous news post is also having the same problem:

Is the Focus Keyphrase feature only available in Yoast SEO Premium. That is not made clear in your training videos.

Unable to add focus keyphrase to posts

Ever since the update, I can’t add any focus keyphrase on posts and pages. I cant even revise set keyphrase of old posts. I’ve already tried installing and uninstalling the plug-ins but the yoast bar is still blank without any fields I can make changes to.

I’ve been using Yoast (free version) for about 5 years on my WordPress site without issue. Recently, I cannot added a focus keyphase for posts or pages. Sometimes it accepts one letter. I thought I just wait for an update to resolve the issue. But it has been this way for a few months.

I use the Highend theme.

I have it on automatic updates, so the latest version is running.
