Atenciosamente,

There appears to be some sort of conflict with QuadMenu (when set to use FontAwesome 5 icons) and one particular icon (but maybe more) – exclamation-circle / ? / f06a / <i class=”fas fa-exclamation-circle”> (https://fontawesome.com/v5.15/icons/exclamation-circle?style=solid)
In short, if QuadMenu is installed/activated, with QuadMenu > Configuration > Icons > “FontAwesome 5” set as the Icons, any time a theme (e.g. Storefront) or a function (e.g. wc_print_notice( ‘A notice!’, ‘notice’ );) outputs the f06a icon (e.g. on the Cart or Checkout page), it returns/displays the “broken” glyph box, with tiny f06a text in it. Disable the QuadMenu plugin, or change the Icons back to “Dashicons” (or something else), and f06a icons will display without issue.
This issue occurs without even integrating any menus, nor having created any QuadMenu menus (and if you do integrate/create a menu it also still occurs). f06a is the only icon I have noticed which is affected by this issue (e.g. the “?” fa-check-circle f058 displays fine on the Cart/Checkout pages), and if I set f06a as the icon for a QuadMenu menu item, it displays fine.
So there is some sort of conflict, that breaks the icon for the broader host, but it still works for QuadMenu.
FYI – here is where the f06a icon I use in the example below comes from. It’s stored as a glyph within the css file (with several others).
/wp-content/themes/storefront/assets/css/woocommerce/woocommerce.css?ver=3.7.0
.woocommerce-error::before
content: “?”
To Reproduce:
1. Go to QuadMenu > Configuration > Icons > and choose “FontAwesome 5”, click “Save”.
2. Go to Marketing > Coupons > and create a simple test coupon with a $100 minimum spend.
3. Vist the Shop > “Add to cart” an item for <$100 > vist the Cart page > then enter your test coupon and click “Apply coupon”.
4. The WooCommerce alert is displayed <ul class”woocommerce-error” role=”alert”> with the broken f06a icon and “The minimum spend for this coupon is $100.00.” message.
This issue is present on my Prod/Staging/Dev websites, and was reproduced on the below basic localhost installation (no other Plugins installed/activated and no child theme (functions or styling)).
System
WordPress 5.8
Storefront (Theme) 3.7.0
WooCommerce 5.5.2
QuadMenu 2.1.4
I ask a question that why you guys don’t upgrade to font-awesome 5.x. I found that this version so popular at this time. Almost every other plugin used this version while you still use 4.7.0.
When loading a theme, they will load 2 libraries 5.x & 4.7.0 version of font-awesome. So this’s not optimizing.
Looking forward to hearing your meaning.
Thank you.

First of all, this plugin is awesome and I think the beta is amazing too, the functionality is simple and easy to use for my clients.
However, I personally can’t find any documentation for the filters, I actually saw a post about this and it has an example that was super simple. Unfortunately that question is for the Font Awesome V4 and I am working with V5.
This is the post what I am talking about:
Filter Documentation
I would like to see if there’s a possibility that you make a document with the response for Font Awesome V5 as you did for Font Awesome 4 here so I can work with that, also this will help any other person that has the same objective and will stay in this forum as some sort of temporary documentation.
Thanks again for this wonderful plugin, looking forward to hear from you!
It appears that Better Font Awesome is missing it’s core library, which typically occurs when cloning the Git repository and failing to run composer install. Please refer to the plugin’s installation instructions for details on how to properly install Better Font Awesome via Git. If you installed from within WordPress, or via the www.ads-software.com repo, then chances are the install failed and you can try again. If the issue persists, please create a new topic on the plugin’s support forum or file an issue on the Github repo.
…BUT when I check the previously-missing FA icons (pins), they’re there! So erroneous error?
UPDATE: After my initial test, I found that bafflingly, the plugin folder was no longer in my plugin directory. And the FA5 icons went missing again. So I uploaded the unzipped folder via FTP and I’m back on track! It even picked up my previous settings, and is now displaying 5.0.13 as the latest version of FA. Thanks!!
