List block not inheriting font family from typography control in customization

I have just realised that my bulleted lists are using a different font on the live website. It should be using “PT Sans” but has got something else in the computed styles browser inspector:

-apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont,?“Segoe UI”, Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell,?“Helvetica Neue”, sans-serif

PT Sans is a Google font in their Easy Google Fonts plugin. I’m not sure if that is the problem or where I’d need to add more CSS. There’s an Easy Google Fonts settings page where I have a Font Control, but nothing further, it looks pretty bare metal.

In the Customizing -> Typography -> Default Typography, I have set the PT Sans font family for P and Hx elements. In the Theme Typography, I have selected the font control mentioned above.

My site is not public yet. I am using Independent Publisher 2. There is a large blank area at the bottom of the content on every page and before the text:
“Proudly powered by WordPress | Theme: Independent Publisher 2 by Raam Dev.”

I would like to get rid of the extra space and alter that text, if possible. Any ideas?

Also, I have tried to set the font at the body level with CSS and it doesn’t work. I successfully set it at the paragraph (p) level but need it for other elements such as lists and form headers. Will I have to do these individually?

What is the CSS control name that changes the category label font in twenty-sixteen?
I am using a child theme and Easy Google Fonts, so I need to know the control name.

FYI: I am using Active Control to hide the words “Category:” I want to change font for the text that follows. In this example it is “Slow history.” Thank you.

I downloaded Easy Google Fonts and cannot get it to change my header font size (site title). Does anyone know how to accomplish this? It seems like someone else had this problem over a month ago and didn’t get an answer, so hopefully I don’t get the same response here. Thanks.

font control for links in post

Hi,

I added a css selector a[href^=”http”] (also tried “a” to the same effect) to control the appearance of links in my blogpost text. However, when I change size in customise/typography/theme typography it changes the size of my menu titles as well!

They are technically links too, so I guess that is why, but how do I separate the two?
In addition my blog post title and “No comments” is also affected!
The selector does not affect the font choice itself though, only size, colour, etc…

What css selector should I be using? Is there a reference document everybody gets them from?

Lost Aspects of Escutcheon

I’m using the Escutcheon theme on more than one site… one built directly through WP and one accessed through a hosting company (Windstream.) One instance (the former) has features that are not available in the other such as Font control and the ability to add a Logo. The lacking site is Automattic’s latest update of Escutcheon, and the description says Font control and logo adding should be there. Is this a WP issue or do I have to find answers from Automattic? Is it possible that a freshly downloaded version could be defective in some way? Can I (should I) safely reload the program over itself?

'Create font control' stopped working

Hi,
I have used this plugin on many sites but this is new— Last week I created some new font controls without any problem. I am using the Longevity theme. This week the ‘create font control’ button acts like it is being clicked but nothing happens. The ones I created before are working and I can make changes through the Customizer, but new controls are not possible.

You can’t see the site now because it has development cloaking up. I can probably do this with custom CSS but I would rather keep it together in your plugin!

I’d like to be able to manage the font for the “site description” of my website. I’ve set up a custom Font Control but I’m not sure what to put in the “CSS Selectors” box, as “site description” is not a standard style element.

Can you please tell me exactly what I should put in the CSS Selectors box to manage my site description?
