]]>I’m looking for a way to auto-assign a lifterlms membership for new registered Users. The goal is to give Free Memberships to new registered Users, requesting the minimum user information and requiring minimum users steps, in order to make their experience easy to complete.
I’ve been doing a search and find some people asking similar questions and some useful post (see below). I’m lack of the coding skills to implement this hooks, Also not sure how empty fields are going to work, and I’m using registration from buddypress.
I also checked using Checkout Free Access Plans, and this is a possible workaround. Unfortunately, some “extra” fields (Address) that are not important for a Free Membership are asked in this form. Any way of hide those fields for Free Plan Access?

How do I create a free membership level? So people don’t have to pay.
]]>I need to create a ‘password’ protected area on a primary school website, that allows different Group levels of FREE access. Staff, Parents Year 1, Parents Year 2, etc…
Each Group will have the appropriate information available to them.
My question is:
I think I have seen here, that I could create a FREE membership level, and then create sub groups of that level to create Parent year groups. Will I be able to create registration forms for each FREE sub group to allows parents to register.?
Also, is there are short code to allow me to display content on public web pages.? IE – 20 PDF documents, 5 I want to tag as public, the other 15 divided between various groups available via login.
Thanks in advance
Carl.
]]>I only want Free Membership on our site. I changed the registration page to this: https://test.mhmothersclub.com/membership/membership-registration/
However when I put the shortcode [swpm_registration_form] into the page, it says “Membership Level Not Found.” In the plugin settings, I enabled the Free Membership option. There won’t be any levels. So I’m not sure how to fix this.
I also tried the shortcode [swpm_registration_form level=0] and the message that then appears on the page is: “Free membership is disabled on this site. Please make a payment from the Join us page to pay for a premium membership.
You will receive a unique link via email after the payment. You will be able to use that link to complete the premium membership registration.” (This of course isn’t true, as I did enable free membership.)
I have read the documentation and I can’t find anything in it to help me. The documentation makes it seem like this should be automatic, but apparently it’s not.
TIA for your help!

]]>However, when we add their account, they don’t receive any emails at all. It doesn’t matter what domain the user is on (e.g. Gmail, Hotmail, business domains), they still don’t come through.
Interestingly, when we change a user’s membership level, they do receive an email stating their their account has been upgraded, and advising them to log in.
So, my question is: Should an email be sent out automatically when we manually register new members? If so, why is that not being sent when other emails generated by WordPress/your plugin are obviously working?

]]>So I have a website where it’s free to sign up, but I need to approve you before you have access to the content.
I researched and figured out that it’s not possible with the free version, so I purchased the paid version, and now I don’t need to charge my users anything to be a member. Next, I realized that there was no way for me to ‘approve’ members before they see content. So I used the workaround to have everyone start as a level one user, which basically gives them no permission to view anything, and then when I ‘approve’ them I simply go into their account and update them to level 2, so then they have access to the content.
Now, I thought that once I approved them for level 2 membership, the person would be then emailed saying, “hey, congrats your now this level” or whatever. And I thought I could accomplish this by going to Paypal options > modification notification email … but this only looks like they will get this email if THEY upgrade their level. How do I make sure that they get an email once I upgrade their membership?
Thanks for the help!
