I very much need the exact domain patrickmulliganfitzsimmons.com. Currently my site is hosted as patrickmulliganfitzsimmons.wordpress.com. How can I ensure that my WordPress Site is hosted as patrickmulliganfitzsimmons.com without any mention of WordPress in the domain? I own both the WordPress Site and the domain I’m trying to host it under.
Thank you,
Patrick Fitzsimmons
I need to do minor adjustments in the footer content (adding a new link URL).
Where in WordPress admin panel du I have to go to adjust content within the footer?
]]>I went in and changed the WordPress address and Site Address both to projectphillyy.org, then as soon as I clicked save, it redirected me to am error page.
I tried going back to login using the original login link (https://projectphilly.org/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fprojectphilly.org%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1) but every time I enter my login info in, it tries to redirect me to projectphillyy.org and won’t load the page, giving me the “this site can’t be reached” error message.
This site has been run by various people over like 10 years or something, so I don’t know anything about the wp-admin files or FTP clients I’ve seen people talk about in other forums…and I don’t know how to get that info or what to do with it.
Is there any way for me to get back into my dashboard for this site? Please help! Thanks!
]]>I have a few questions/concerns, so I’ll try to be as concise as possible.
1. My host is BlueHost.
2. WordPress is installed on the main domain, which is the live site.
3. I created a subdomain dev.domain.com to test a new ThemeForest theme/layout
4. I installed WordPress to the subdomain and created a separated wp-admin account for the staging site.
** So, first question: Will adding a new theme to the subdomain at all affect the primary domain?
5. I installed the “All in one migration” plugin.
** Second question — I exported the original site to a file, which has a .wpress extension. What is this extension and why is it not a .zip? **
** Third question — If I import the staging site design to the primary/live domain, how will that affect the content which is already present on the live site? **
But now, let’s get to the real issue I am having right now.
6. I am using the following ThemeForest template: https://themeforest.net/item/brooklyn-creative-one-page-multipurpose-theme/6221179
7. I have this template in .zip format
Each time uploading gets to 100%, it jumps to this error screen that says:
“Are you sure you want to do this?
Please try again.”
Does anyone know what the issue is? I really need to get this theme installed ASAP.

After reviewing the forums, it seems that I have two options:
1. Get my web host to increase your PHP limits.
** This does not seem possible so far with BlueHost. **
2. Upload your theme via an FTP client.
I do not know how to upload the theme via an FTP client — can someone help?
Thank you!!!!

The firewall is not active, so im not sure what else it could be? Could this be an error if the password is incorrect? Or….
thank you
]]>Recently was given access to our server on which we have wordpress installed. I have been trying to upload a new theme for a while.
Was told that I should do it through an FTP client. I am using Total Commander.
When I connect to the server and the wordpress site, however, I cannot see any files. There is no “wp-admin” file, and no directories of any kind.
Currently, everything I move to this wordpress site shows up in media. So if I move a theme zip file, it shows up in media as a zip file. Not helpful.
I have had some success installing themes the regular way, but get stuck with the cheatin’ error. All the fixes for this error require me to have access to the wordpress directories…so it’s kind of a catch-22.
Any guidance would be appreciated…
Thank you!
//Also, please note: am newbie regarding programming, but am willing to research, and have access to a smart IT person (but he lives far far away, and is difficult to contact–hence why I am on this forum).

]]>I would like that administrators of the Website could add files via FTP (Filezilla) and those can be shown on a WordPress page.
Thanks a lot!
]]>1. I updated WP to 4.0 and I’m trying to update my plugins and install new plugins as well. They fail each time saying
“The package could not be installed. The package contains no files.
Plugin update failed.” I read some old posts and people say this is likely because there’s nowhere in the FTP for the zip files to go to.
2. Problem two is that I can’t connect via any FTP clients. Downloaded FileZilla and tried everything under the sun from their support forums and I keep timing out.
3. I resorted to googling and editing the css stylesheet. Did some things I wanted to but ended up messing up the sidebar and now it’s all the way at the bottom of the page. Tried the markup validator site everyone always recommends and I have no idea how to differentiate what sheet the lines/columns this code is.
Sorry to have so many questions, but I’m really down a hole and I’m really just trying to alter the design of my site and update/add new plugins.
I appreciate all help. If it makes it easier, the site is https://www.thatwasjunk.com
