I’m attempting to import the albums from a gallery2 installation, the error i get when i run the import process is: Couldn’t select gallery comments from the database.

I don’t really want the comments important anyway, can i leave them out?

Converting Gallery2 to Lazyest Gallery

Hi!
I currently run a blog that uses a Gallery2 (2.3) installation and the WPG2 plugin. I’d like to move the whole gallery over to Lazyest Gallery. Has anyone done this before, and is a script available for it? I’m a developer so could write a script for it myself, but if anyone else has done this before it’d be great to hear

vSlider3 Gallery Theme fails after upgrade to 3.2 WordPress. If anyone has this issue or has a solution let me know. I’ve tried very thing I can think of and I’ve run out of ideas.

The vSlider3 theme for WordPress still works fine.

If I try to uses the vSlider3 gallery theme I get a messages saying that no valid vSlider WordPress theme has been detected.

I was excited to hear about this plugin and have a question. Gallery2 allows mixed media galleries (e.g., galleries containing photos and videos). How does the Gallery2 Importer plugin handle galleries which include videos?

Hello! New guy here and my first post

I’m setting up a WordPress blog for a buddy of mine and this is my first experience with WordPress. This will be a blog with a number of pictures and I wanted the ability to comment on each photo so I’m trying to get Gallery2 working with the Suffusion theme and am having just a small issue that is probably something simple but I’m not good with CSS and not familiar with WordPress so am hoping somebody has run into this before and will have a quick easy fix for me

Now, when I want to view the Gallery, it inserts Gallery2 but then the right block menu block starts UNDER the gallery. Looks like something is a little too wide or possibly one little setting or piece of code is off…

Any help would be appreciated! I know it is probably something I need ot modify somewhere in the CSS but am asking here because I don’t know what file or where to even begin looking so if some of you guys more familiar with this can point me in the right direction as to what looks like might be wrong, it would be much apprecaited. Photo Gallery Plugin

I’m baffled that I’ve not been able to find this, I feel certain it must be out there!

I need a photo gallery – very simple but will allow me as admin to create categories and sub-categories, then allow ALL registered users to upload photos to the categories I allow them to or create sub-categories if one they need does not exist, the upload photos to it. They cannot create main (1st level) categories and no pictures can be uploaded to 1st level. Only sub-level.

For instance:

Pizza -> Pepperoni -> Users can upload here
Pizza -> Sausage -> Users can upload here
Burgers -> Hamburger -> Users can upload here
Burgers -> Users can CREATE a sub-category (Cheeseburger) if one they need is missing but cannot upload photos to the “main” category.

I originally tried Gallery2 and Gallery3 (beta) – I also installed and tried Coppermine. I am simply shocked that as robust as these are none of them have these features!

So, I installed WordPress thinking maybe a plugin would exist to do this. Can’t find one.

Any help? I’m at a loss.

WPG2 404s unless Admin or Editor

Hi All,

I’m using the WPG2 plugin to link my Gallery2 install and WordPress together. Happily setting it up abd thinking it’s all working, until one of my friends tells me he’s getting a 404 when he clicks on the thumbnails WPG2 creates. Bit of investigation by setting up a test user, and it turns out this only happens if you are not logged in as an Admin or Editor. Contributors, Authors, Subscribers and those not logged in all get a 404 error.

[Plugin: wpg2] Multiple rendering errors

Hi everyone,

I’m currently maintaining a homepage of a friend. Today we decided to upgrade to WordPress 2.8
After the update process I now get multiple rendering errors when accessing the gallery-page over WordPress. I tried to deactivate and reactivate the plugin several times but with no effect. Also a fresh installation of the plugin didn’t help so far.

When I access the page the wpg2header.php & wpg2footer.php get ignored, although been recognized by the plugin on the “WPG2 Dashboard”.
Additionally the rendering process stops after completing the start tag of the link of the first image. The source code interrupts at this position.

Problems configuring WPG2 with Gallery2 URL Rewrite plugin

Hi,

I am having troubles configuring WPG2 with Gallery2 URL Rewrite plugin. I enabled permalinks in WP and they work fine with the posts. Then I installed and enabled the URL Rewrite plugin in Gallery2. When I visit the gallery directly (not via WPG2) – short URLs work fine for the galleries/pictures/etc. When I visit the gallery through WPG2 the links look like PATHINFO permalinks (i.e. they contain index.php) however they do not work (i.e. I get the “Not found” errors for both galleries and individual picutures). When I then go to the WPG2 settings tab in WP configuration panel I get the following message:

Warning: Gallery2 Rewrite Plugin was deactived
WPG2 has automatically deactivated the Gallery2 Rewrite Plugin, to reactive, enable Gallery2 Rewrites in the WPG2 Gallery2 Rewrites Tab.

When I go to the WPG2 Gallery2 Rewrites Tab I get the following:

Error: Gallery2 Rewrite is not using mod_rewrite
Gallery2 Rewrite module is not using Apache mod_rewrite and cannot be supported within the WordPress Environment, please configure the Gallery2 Rewrite Module to use Apache Mod_Write.

And no option for activating it back is available. So then I go to the Gallery2 configuration panel and activate the URL Rewrite plugin again. Here the loop closes, i.e. the URLs work fine in Gallery2 but not in WPG2, so I go to the WPG2 panel and get informed that the Gallery2 Rewrite Plugin was deactived and so on.

How can I resolve this ?
