WordPress is very popular and widely used CMS in Georgia, unfortunately Georgian web-site of WordPress is outdated, with partly translated wording, unanswered forum topics and silent blog.

I am interested, how person can get involved in taking care of localization of WordPress and updating blog content, is there some kind of a official procedure?

Hello,

I tried to change the font of titles (Georgia) to Arial using this code :

font-family: Quicksand, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;

}

but it’s not working ? how to fix that please ?

Comet theme post headings are the wrong font weight

I’m using comet for two websites, brendanhughes.com and brendanhughescreativemedia.com, and somewhere along the way the post headings switched from the very handsome large Georgia italic to a non-handsome bold that is indistinguishable from the second level headings.

In my CSS it seems like it is still indictaed as being the original italic, yet the bold is what appears anyway. i can’t figure it out.

Can anyone lend a hand?

Serif Fonts Not Displaying Properly

Hi All,

I started running the Essayist theme, I hit refresh once, and the fonts for all links changed from Georgia/Times New Roman to Helvetica. I thought it was my browser (Safari on OSX), so I tried it on Opera and Firefox on my computer and had the same result. I then tried it on my girlfriend’s computer, an HP running Firefox and she has the same displays.

So I inspected the CSS, it looked ok, but to be safe I deleted and re-installed the theme and the problem persisted.

So then I tried a new theme, The Bold Life, and the same thing is going on. I didn’t touch the CSS. I installed a bunch of themes that use serif fonts, and even the previews show the same error.

I really like the serif-based fonts, but it seems I can’t use any themes that incorporate them into links. Anyone else ever experience the same thing?

I’m transferring https://tatushka55.wordpress.com to https://taa.ge
This blog is in georgian language and as you can see it works ok on tatushka55.wordpress.com. After importing it to taa.ge I can’t read posts. All I see is ??????????????????????

I have UTF-8 encoding on both blogs.

I think there might be problem with database or something else.

Please help me.

Can’t find a font tag in CSS for Default Template

I’m working with the Default Template and am running into an odd quirk. I want the text of a post or a page to be Verdana, and have reset the H1, H2, and H3 on the style sheet to Verdana.

But, while the post text on a page is now Verdana, the post text on the front page is Georgia! There’s no reference to Georgia or a serif font in the style sheet. The header is Verdana but the text is not.

Has anyone run into this? I’m usually good at this, but I’ve never worked with modifying the default template before.

Any way to see what font styling other sites use?

I am very new to CSS, but i like the font styling that www.ads-software.com uses in it’s body copy – actually for the exact text that you are reading right now. I want to use this same styling of “Georgia” for my website which is based on the 1024px theme. But no matter how hard I’ve tried, i can’t get it to match the look of the body copy text that you’re reading right now. Any tips on how to code properly this type of font styling for the 1024px theme?
