We agree that all artist should be linked and get credits but it would speed up the process if I could add new artists and their links/pages in the same mask I enter each gig?!
Is this possible somehow
]]>Does such a thing already exist?
Example workflow:
Project Manager: logs in, creates job, publishes job
Employee: logs in, claims job, performs job, turns in work
Project Manager: logs in, reviews turned in work, marks complete
Everyone Lives Happily Ever After, or something like that.
]]>I recently installed the Gig Press plugin (version 2.3.18) and when trying to create an artist, venue or gig etc. there is a notification displayed above the fields: “Something ain’t right – try again?” But there is no feedback from the plugin or WP what was going wrong and trying again is not working either.
The exact steps: When trying to create e.g. an artist, I fill out the name and URL fields, press the button “Add artist” and the error notification appears. This happens with all other options as well (venue, gig etc.).
Looking forward to your feedback!
Best, Heiko
]]>that seems to be effecting all subsequent events, in that once I create them, they will not show up, when I put [mfgigcal] on my Gigs page. I can do all the advanced usage (by event, by date, etc), but it would be a LOT easier if I could just put [mfgigcal] on my gigs page. And it will not let me create the real event for Feb 13 (by creating a new event) nor is there a delete function for that event.
https://www.swingularity.com/gigs/
I have deleted the plug-in, including erasing all the data, but this event still shows up. I’ve tried the other gig plug-ins, but really (and I am not just saying this) yours is the easiest to use and I think creates the best results on the page (I have used the plug-in many times on other sites)
I have decades of computer and PC experience, but I don’t know anything about SQL, so I am afraid you will tell me I have to go into the database and make some sort of change.
Help please — and thanks in advance
]]>If not any chance we could see this in a future release? Love the plugin, thanks!

]]>I’m trying to list my gigs archive sorted by years ie:
2012
gig
gig
gig
2011
gig
gig
2010
gig
and so on.
But when I try to list it in my archive, it only shows the current tour (2012)
If I try to list all gigs in the gigs page, it splits correctly the upcoming gigs, but does the same whith the past ones, and instead of showing the tour name (the year) it prints ‘Upcoming gigs’.
Any ideas on how to solve it? I’ve been walking around the code but I can’t make no sense of it.

thanks for your time.

]]>Hope this is the right place. Just need some advice on how to set this up. We’ll essentially have the following post categories
News – can be related to an artist, show and tour
Artist – can be related to a shows, tickets and tours
Show – can be related to artists, tickets and tours
Tickets – etc etc
Tour – etc etc
Artist Page
Lists past shows (and shows if they were part of a tour or not), shows future shows, shows tickets for future shows
Show
Displays related artists and ticket links and whether it’s part of a tour
Etc etc. Hopefully you get what I am saying. I was thinking about doing custom page types but brain got a bit frazzled. Can anyone suggest a good way of setting this up? gigpress was the closest thing I found but feel I may need to do my own stuff
]]>I maintain another simple web site where I list various gigs in my area, using a WYSIWYG software. I realise that www.ads-software.com would do the same job. The most important section of my current site is the gig listing, which is very difficult to keep up to date, as I insert gigs long hand. I’m am trying to see if WP has a solution to this, my current site looks like this https://www.djhimaging.com/march2011.html although a list form in probably preferable.
The problem being, I really don’t know where to start looking and what for. GigPress is a name that keeps cropping up but that appears to be aimed at musicians and not a generic listing.
I see my main requirements as a list with headings :-
Month / Date of concert / County / Town / Venue (with links) / Artists (with links) / date concert added to site – and ideally once a venue with links / artist with links has been added this information is stored for future use.
Being new to all this I just need some guidance or suggested plug-in that will enable me to maintain this type of data as this is the only thing holding be back. I didn’t want to start creating a WP site without knowing if this sort of listing is possible or if I need to investigate another CMS site.
As an example of my sort of requirement check out https://www.backroadsmusic.co.uk/gigs though I appreciate this is not a WP blog.
or https://www.bobharris.org/pages/gigguidehome.asp
I’ve been pondering this for the past 8 months and have got nowhere so I guess I need some expert help to know if this is easily achievable.
Thank you for you help and I am sorry if this is an unorthodox approach to finding a solution.
]]>a friend asked me to help them build a site similar to this – https://www.theblackangels.com/ (minus the splash page) and i was wondering if anyone could recommend some plugins that would suit?
they’re looking for;
– news feed (hopefully integrated with Facebook)
– gig calendar/feed
any advice would be great as i’m not having much luck with this so far.
Cheers,
Jules
