All, I’m migrating the current website https://www.aerialliftequipment.com to WP. I’m using Elementor Pro / Woo / JetSmartFilter to recreate the product display like this https://www.aerialliftequipment.com/c14/aerial-lifts-specifications

The site is custom coded in Laravel. The data has been imported to Woo via a complex script (seven tables had to be joined). There are around 50 attributes.

Regardless, the product attributes came to Woo as custom attributes. The attributes have to be global in order for JetFilter to work. Is there a way to convert the existing custom attributes to global attributes? I found a $50 plugin but thought I could do it myself. https://wpsheeteditor.com

In case I have to rewrite the script, what needs to be done to make the attributes global? Also, would it be better to import the existing attributes as ACF – It would enable me to group the attributes. Here is screenshot https://prnt.sc/XV0yxnDDhpJF

Product Variations – Attributes

Hi,
I need to to change around 30 existing products from Simple to Variable.

11 global attributes are already assigned to these products.

When I convert a product to Variable all attributes are automatic checked with “Used for variations”

Because I use only one attribute for the Variations section I have to disable all others

Is there a way to set the “Used for variations” to NO by default?

Unable to import some attributes in woocomerce

Basically, I want to import some extra fields like color, size, the material used, Quantity (For jewelry) as global attributes, so that these fields should be visible in the front end (product page) in the additional information/ anywhere else. I don’t know what should I name the columns of the CSV for these attributes, I implemented the best to my knowledge, and I also looked into the documentation and tried various things, but nothing worked. If you could help me with this, I will really appreciate : )

Show Local Woocommerce Product attributes with global attributes

Hello,

So, currently, any filter plugin I have tried only shows the global product attributes in the filter widgets.
However, I was wondering is there any way or plugin that shows all the attributes (local or global) in the filter widgets, etc.
OR
Is it possible that, woocommerce treat all the variables as global variable or pick up any local attributes when product is publish and upload it automatically / covert it to global attribute?

Poorly integrated into WooCommerce

As a WooCommerce developer myself, I’m very disappointed with this integration. I’m glad I checked the support forums so I only wasted a day trying to figure out why this integration wasn’t working.

I cannot recommend this plugin and by extension Printful if you are using WooCommerce. Due to a terrible design decision on their developers part this integration just isn’t scalable.

They do not use global product attributes which means you cannot use any plugins related to attributes. This includes swatch plugins, search plugins or most of the features you need to run a successful online store. You cannot provide an easy way for your customers to filter your catalogue. Their suggestion is to use tags which is not a workable solution. I shouldn’t have to tag colours and sizes when you already have all the attributes created.

I would suggest that if you want to be able to filter your products and provide a seamless eCommerce experience for your customers, you look elsewhere. It’s extremely disappointing because I wanted to integrate Printful with our product also.

Global Attributes

Hi,
could you please tell me how to correctly create the GLOBAL ATTRIBUTES, their terms and conditions and how to translate them in the correct way?
If there is a manual or a link where all the details and info are detailed, I would really appreciate.

We have a website in italian as main language, the shop (which is on woocommerce) and all the contents are in 2 languages: Italian and English

I can’t find the right way to create global attributes in italian language and then translate them in english in a working way.

Please let me know if you can help me and if you need more details.

Layered nav – Convert custom attributes to global attributes

Dear supporters,

I’m taking over a wordpress site with Woocommerce from another webdesigner. The company has an Excel file with all their products (3000) and attributes. Woocommerce interprets these attributes as custom attributes and thus they don’t work with the Layered nav widget which only recognizes global attributes. Is there a way to convert all these custom attributes to global attributes? Or for the Layered nav to recognize the custom attributes?

Ajax Enabled Enhanced Layered Navigation

Hi,

I am using the Ajax Enabled Enhanced Product Filter on my website to allow customers to sort products in real time based on attribute. This is an official plug-in from WooThemes, and only allows filtering based on attribute.

My question comes, as attributes seem to be for things such as, Small/Medium/Large, Color, or any other characteristic that would be used to select a variable product.

I want to be able to sort my products by similar characteristics within the product filter plug-in, by something like “part of the body”. This would group all products related to “arm”, or “knee”, or “back”.

Is it possible for me to use attributes for this? When I tried to add attributes for this, I ended up with drop down box on the product page, or a text box on the product page – where the customer would select the attribute – similar to “select size”, although there was only the one option of “knee” for the “part of the body” attribute.

How can I make what I am trying to accomplish work with attributes?
