Jetpack Adds Google Font CSS to Network Requests, How to disable?

If there’s no direct way of disabling via the Jetpack Settings (which there appears not to be), please provide the handle for the call so that it can be disabled via a code snippet.

I’ve confirmed that the errant Google Font CSS network resource is being loaded via Jetpack. There is no Google Font CSS call when Jetpack is disabled. There is a Google Font CSS call when Jetpack is active.

I have read that Jetpack has abandoned Google Fonts since WordPress supports them natively – but it appears the code was not removed.

Hi, I am testing the plugin and have created 2 timelines. Now I have noticed that your plugin contacts Google Fonts. WHY??? And how do I turn this off?

BTW: I have defined in Divi that the Google Fonts are only loaded/hosted locally. Why does your plugin not adhere to this?

Dear Ditty team,
sadly your news ticker isn’t GDPR compatible as it inserts Google Fonts without any option to deactivate it, also OMGF (Pro) can’t catch them.
I think that never was a problem in the past. :-/
Is there any chance for an optional Google Font loading? Why does your plugin even load them instead of using themes font settings?

Timetable Google Fonts autoload option causing critical error

Hello there,

We recently moved an updated version of a client site to a shared hosting server and noticed that the site has become extremely slow. The Site Health screen displays a critical error about “Autoload options could affect performance” (see the attached screenshot).

On LiteSpeed caching plugin’s database details shows ‘timetable_google_fonts’ option being significantly bigger than all other options (see the attached screenshot).

Timetable plugin is set to use the ‘Developer Mode’. Could you suggest something to fix this issue as this is something we’ve not seen before on any of our sites?

LiteSpeed Cache Plugin – Remove Google Fonts

Hi,

When using the plugin LiteSpeed Cache, it has a Page Optimization setting:

Remove Google Fonts [ ON / OFF ]
Prevent Google Fonts from loading on all pages.

Having this ON, does that Disable & Remove Google Fonts from all pages?

What I mean is, it would seem best not to both use your plugin, plus use ON in the LiteSpeed Cache settings, since they are both about Removing Google Fonts.

But, I would love to know what the differences are, and if it’s best to keep your plugin activated + LiteSpeed Cache ‘Remove Google Fonts’ turned ON. Or if it’s better to turn it OFF and use your plugin. Or even use only LiteSpeed Cache, or even if there is a reason to use both?

My goal is page loading speed. I don’t use any Google Fonts so I want anything with Google Fonts disabled and removed.

Please check our Customizer: Global > Typography. First you will see out Custom Fonts but then there’s the full Google library.

Google font weight issue

I have installed the Montserrat font via Google fonts in the font manager in the site editor.

I have selected multiple weights of this font but when selecting these options ie bold, light etc nothing changes, only one font weight shows in both the editor and the front end of the website.

I have tried to install this font both by connecting to Google fonts and then by downloading and uploading but the issue remains.

I have also tried other fonts from Google such as Open Sans and Roboto and both installed and displayed with no issues so its seems like an issue just with Montserrat.

Has anyone else had this issue and how did they resolve it?

Google fonts keeps breaking after latest theme updates

I have google fonts on multiple different sites using wordpress. One site I have that is using Ocean WP theme is the only site where Google Fonts functionality keeps breaking by itself for the past few weeks. Probably something do to with a theme update. Not sure. Either way, I went back and manually turned on admin > typography > “enable google fonts” and cleared cache, etc and the google fonts appear working again. I check back on the site a week later and whalaa the google fonts are not working again and when I check, the “enable google fonts” is not turned on. Nobody else has made any changes to the them or customizations. I am the only user. So how can this be? And is it just me? Please advise.

Customize problem after uprgrade to last version

After updating to the latest version, it is not possible to change the width of the site so that the part of the background is narrower, i mean after change it to 90% nothing happen. And some additional customization options don’t work even after changing.
