I have updated to GPv3 and cannot find an obvious place where I am setting up custom error pages.
I have searched the support forum and documentation on GPP site, cannot find some guidance.
Please can you point me to the right place?
Thanks
]]>I am looking to create custom error pages on my site without the use of theme-builder or an additional plugin.
I saw in the below referenced post, that GP are working on a way to edit the 404 page directly “in the next update”;
[https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/customizing-404-page/#post-1406399]
When is such an updated anticipated for release?
Also, is this planned for just editing the 404 page or all custom error pages?
Many thanks
]]>Oh… and a plug: combine this theme with Tom’s GeneratePress Premium plugin, and now you basically are a junior WP theme developer yourself. Expanded integration with the Customizer. Some very cool additions (“Hooks” is major!)… and of course, Tom on speed-dial!
I can’t say enough good things about this theme. I was walking away from WordPress before I landed on it… and now there’s no looking back. Try it. Trust me, with a bit of effort, you’ll like it. Add Premium, and you will very quickly learn to love it!
]]>I’m emailing THAD at present but support is somewhat limited. I thought maybe the community has some answers to some issues i’m having trying to get the plugin ready for real world use.
The project is at https://aucklandstockphotos.com/
_
1. If no keywords are supplied when searching, no results will be shown. In the last version of plugin the results were ‘all images’ if field is blank. Or at least a warning ‘Please enter a term to search?’ would be better than a blank page?
2. The EXIF file size views the incorrect physical size of images. It shows the large size set in media- not the actual image size uploaded (full size). Seeing as i’m selling one file size- FULL size- this is a major issue.
Example https://aucklandstockphotos.com/photos/well-dressed-lady-looking-viaduct-harbour-sunrise-skytower-auckland/
The question here is – when you download do you get the full size image? Also, how do i fix this major problem?
3. The watermark plugin has never worked. No matter what i do. CDN on or off. I remember trying this plugin years ago too- and same issue. A fix?
4. Tax is not applied to individual items. It is added as a line item to the cart total.
OK. Thing is that legally in New Zealand we have to BY LAW show total with GST (i.s. the price with nothing hidden). We cannot have a figure then add GST on cart. If i turn GST off then there is no GST added, but this needs to happen.
Some feedback is that this is an issue for a product aimed at a global market. Simply having the total inc GST for pricing would fix this. Maybe i can at least add ‘+GST’ to template somewhere?
5. Terms and Service text on checkout is in a popup that does not accomodate the text. I’ve added;
.sell-media-dialog-box #sell-media-dialog-box-target { overflow: visible; } and did not seem to fix it.
6. On front page https://aucklandstockphotos.com/ selecting ‘most popular’ or back to ‘newest’ on masonary layout results in an image never loading. It appears at a line.
11. On front page https://aucklandstockphotos.com/ selecting ‘keywords’ (page 2) or ‘collections’ on masonary layout results in messed up layout.
If anyone in here can help as a developer i’d be keen on hiring a fix. Saying that i feel GPP should address these bugs also.
Thanks
Paul

How can I get the captions to show up below the image instead of overlaying it?
Thanks!

]]>I did experience a little issue which I believe was initiated by using the new WF 5.0.1 Falcon Engine that I thought I’d mention here in case others experience the same problem.
Again, I *believe* it was due to enabling the new Wordfence Falcon Engine to speed up cache performance on my site, but I don’t want to sound any alarm bells here, so this is simply a post to describe my experience.
After activating the Falcon Engine to better cache my site, I noticed that I was getting website loop timeout errors whenever I accessed a page on my WP blog other than the main page. In other words, my About page, my Archives page and the individual blog posts pages wouldn’t load and I would get a loop error message in several browsers I tested on, on two different computers.
Because Wordfence so wonderfully provided a means to backup my .htaccess file prior to enabling Falcon Engine, I was able to turn off the Wordfence caching and then restore full functionality to my blog by using my Yoast SEO plugin to edit the .htaccess file with the backed up version that Wordfence downloaded for me just prior to Falcon Engine installation.
I will mention that I’m using the GraphPaperPress Full Frame WP template, which may have some incompatibility with the new Falcon Engine, although enabling the Falcon Engine on a second WP site I admin, hosted elsewhere, using the same Full Frame theme, seems to be unaffected.
This is by no means a complaint or meant to disparage Wordfence. As I mentioned at the top, I think it’s a brilliant plugin for anyone running a WP site. I just wanted to add my experience here with my own issue in case anyone had a similar issue and was looking for a solution.
I may try turning back on Wordfence basic caching again to try it out, but right now I want to make sure everything is back up and running properly for a few days before doing any more experimenting.
I remain a huge fan of the Wordfence team and am grateful for their efforts.
