So, building on that… if, before implementing Ultimate Member, the guest user (unregistered) was leaving comments on multiple posts with the same email address, but with different spellings of their name: 12345 on one post, 123456 on another, 1234567 on another.
THEN they create an actual account, same email address, but register the name on their account as 1234567890, all of their previous comments show up on the tab (as referenced in the post linked above), but going back to each individual comment, the names are different as they originally typed them there.
Question is: is there a way to sync the old comment guest names to the new registered username?
]]>Is there any way to show Customer Notes in the Tracking information?
This would be enormously helpful for a customer who checked out as a guest.
Thanks
]]>as I discussed now with Woocommerce, Woocommerce Germanized & PaypalPLUS by Angelleye, somehow in this combination it is not possible to click on the final button when personal data is entered and all checkboxes have been ticked to proceed from my homepage to pay on paypal.
Funny thing is, when you tick the box for opening up a customer account twice (so mark and unmark it directly), it will be possible to proceed to Paypal. But if you enter the site directly and default is unmarked, the pay button will be deactivated. Woocommerce tells me it is the Germanized plugin and Germanized tells me it is PaypalPLUS by Angelleye. Problem seems to be that you changed the default. I was trying to change the default ticking of the box in the form-billing.php, it worked to get it ticked when you enter the last page of the checkout, but still the button to pay is deactived, so in the back-end it seems not to work. I hoped to get the customers to untick the box, if they not want to create an account, but this still has no effect. Only ticking the box several times make the pay button active. Whatever is needed, I hope you can provide Andrew from Angelleye with information so that he can easily add the function to get it working properly soon. Otherwise the checkout will not be usable by non-frustration-tolerant customers. Thanks in advance for your support.
]]>‘Role Scoper’ seems total overkill and I have been unable to get the author to write me back. I found ‘Restrict Categories’ which seemed perfect but is only for the back-end, so not perfect at all. Any plugin that restricts based on whether or not the user is registered doesn’t work because we will give the prospect a log-in to peruse the site. I.E., there are no unregistered viewers.
Any thoughts or ideas? I’ve even thought of duplicating the site in a sub-directory and just omitting that category all-together. Seems drastic though.
Thanks
]]>My issue is that when I try and ‘add to cart’ or go to the ‘checkout’ page it won’t work.
UNLESS I AM LOGGED IN – then it works fine.
