I implemented AdSense for the first time this week, alongside Complianz.
Everything seems to be working ok but I do get the following warning in my console on any page which displays ads:
AdSense head tag doesn’t support data-cmplz-src attribute.
I’ve searched your forum and the closest thread I could find was this (unfortunately I’m not tech literate enough to understand the solution provided).
Adsense is connected to my site via Site Kit (similar to the thread above).
Any possible solutions would be much appreciated.
And thanks for creating such an awesome plugin!
I’ve found some guides pointing to checking my theme’s functions.php and header.php files, but the code is not in them. I’ve looked around for similar files in the wordpress install folders through FTP, but can’t seem to find it.
How do I edit the head tags to remove them, or which files should I check, where I could find it?
ps. I didn’t use a plugin to add them, so I don’t seem to be able to remove them by installing a “meta/head tags editor” plugin.
*1) I found one guide asking me to look for a “header/footer metatags” section in the theme editor, but there doesn’t seem to be one anymore.
2) I found another guide asking me to look for a “editor” tab in the “Apperance” menu, but it doesn’t seem to exist anymore. (I’m guessing it has been removed in later versions of wordpress for security reasons).
Where can I find the
tag to insert the Google Analytics code?
Thanks
Is there a way to move the tracking code that goes in the
tag closer to the opening
tag?
Below is the start of the code snippet that we neen closer to the opening
tag
<!– Google Tag Manager for WordPress by gtm4wp.com –>

Thanks
It seems that PluginOps Landing Page Builder strips away my theme’s head tags, which has Google Analytics tag hardcoded inside.
Since we need to track specifically the Landing Pages created in PluginOps Landing Page Builder via Google Analytics, how would I go about to place GA gtag.js snippet into head of the Landing Page created in this plugin?
Google specifically recommends placing the tag inside the head tags. Is my only solution to place it somewhere near the top of the page, link on a menu?
Thank you kindly in advance.
Also, I’m using Elementor and the Hello Elementor theme. If you know some way to edit the head tag with Elementor that would be great.
Thanks.
Really, I can’t see any point to a huge, bloated, confusing, complicated SEO plugin when (after literally hours of looking) I came across Simple SEO. Thanks for this.
Yesterday I upgraded to Smush pro but it’s resulted in the following AMP errors on GSC. https://prnt.sc/qgvfzj
I asked the AMP team on this thread:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/getting-the-following-amp-error-on-google-search-console-details-below/
They pointed me in the direction of it being a possible smush issue and suggested that you might be aware of this issue causing those pages to be affected, and those results now crashing in the SERPS as they have this issue.
My question is, when will the issue be fixed? As I can’t afford that my most important blog article, to plummet in the rankings, is a workaround to deactivate smush, to turn off AMP sitewide, or to wait it out?
If you have a fix that’s great, but I’d like to get this info ASAP as the fix will need to be manually validated on GSC before the page can rank again.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I’m getting this AMP error on three pages of my website, but one of them is a most important blog post I have written, and it’s plummeting in the SERPS, want to get this fixed even if I have to turn off AMP and start again.
Yesterday was when the issue started which was also the day I subscribed to SMUSH pro, because as a photographer that wants to display lots of photos, images looking good and not too large is of the most importance.
Error said “Tag found outside the document head which is only allowed as a direct child of the document head.”. Google’s help directed to Github, but I’m a business owner, not a web developer, so it may have well as been written in Greek.
This is a screenshot of how my backend looks right now as I’m writing: https://prnt.sc/qgvfzj
When I hit ‘validate’, it still shows up as an error as I don’t know how to change something to make the problem go away.
Apart from turning off the image Smushing.
My super important blog post is still displaying fine Amp version – https://prnt.sc/qgvgga so not sure why GSC is complaining. I don’t understand what the words “Tag found outside the document head which is only allowed as a direct child of the document head”, it’s complete gibberish to me that doesn’t explain what the problem is.
Why are only three blog posts out of 75 affected? what’s so special about those?
When experts like this site: https://amp.dev/documentation/guides-and-tutorials/start/converting/resolving-errors/ say ‘add this to the head’ or ‘add this code’ I have no idea what that means. Where do you add it? My wordpress back end looks like this: https://prnt.sc/qgvikv I can’t see an area to add anything except content for the blog post or a few plug ins below.
Any help you can grant would be amazing, but as I hate having errors there, I would rather switch off AMP than have the errors persist. Thanks in advance.
