Header size/height different on other pages

Hi all. Total numpty at WordPress, but I’m having difficulty with the theme displaying a different header size (height) on the front page, versus all other pages. Is there additional CSS I can add that would ensure it’s the full size on the other pages too? I’ve tried a few options from other threads I’ve found in support for themes, but none of them seem to make any difference to the pages.

example:

.masthead {
height:360px;
}

Interestingly, it’s showing in full width on the OTHER pages, when on mobile. But the header is cut down from the sides on the front page. So: On desktop, full size only in front page. On mobile: Full size only on other pages than front page. What the heck?

I’m probably making a mess of this code.

Can I slightly reduce the header height with CSS without losing menu alignment?

I found this code provided by Ina on the forum and it works great for my header. But if you check the picture you can see the title “Products” has no indent after the main header in Safari. In Chrome it’s almost the same.

I also would like to reduce it for the main page just a little.

The code I used for the header with changed colours:

@media screen and (min-width: 48em) { .headroom–not-top .navbar { background: #4e608d; } }

.has-header-image .navbar, .has-header-video .navbar { background: #4e608d !important; }

How can I change the Height of the Transparent Header? My website’s header height is too big.
Can I change to the Normal header from the transparent header? Or how to turn off transparent header?

change padding according to zoom setting

Dear helping angels,

is there a way to adjust the padding (that I use in the background image of my header) to different zoom settings? The padding changes the height of my header and therefore the height of my background image, and I would like the height to look the same on the screen irrespective of users zoom settings…

It seems a very basic question, but still I did not find anything on the web for that, though I tried a number of different keywords.

Thanks @supportansar for providing prompt, timely support in resolving the issue pertaining to the header height. This is a nice theme without much complications, but some more features are welcome.

Cropping Images for Featured Links & Header

Hello,

Nice theme.

I think there is something wrong with the crop tool for featured links. I know you want 600 x 340. But even when my image is well within those sizes, once I click crop it tells me There has been an error cropping your image. It did work for the chocolate brownies one, but not the others!

Now they are all different sizes and it looks messy.

Also: would like to limit 500px height of header to about 350px if you can give me css.

Adjust height where title appears

Hello. In the customizer there is an option to put a logo where the title normally appears above the blue line. The suggested image size is 400x120px but when I place the image the container squishes it down to a height of maybe 50px.

I can’t find a control to adjust the height of this row anywhere. If you look at the blog imagine trying to place an image of the recommended size in that space. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Header height when top menu is below it

Hey all.
My header has the “top menu” style with the menu placed below the header.
When i increase the header’s height, it only affects the height of the menu. The area above it (with the image and the site title) is not changed.
The slider that sets the header’s height works in all other styles, except the one i use (top menu).
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello wordpress-whizzes,

Have a few fixes/tweaks to this Catch Evolution theme that I’d love help on.

1) How do I narrow the height of the header image so that it does not take up so much space on page?

2) How do I increase content column size so that it is not so narrow?

3) I’ve selected black as my background color and the dark color scheme, but area outside of column looks grey, not black. How can I either a) make a matching black or b) make transparent so that the background image actually shows? Presently only a tiny sliver at bottom of pages (black glitter).

4) I can customize text color, but do not see any way to specify a color for hyperlinks.

Header’s minimum height is too tall

Hello,

I’m having issues creating a header that is 50px tall – the minimum height slider on Elementor slides all the way to the left but the header appears to get stuck at 117px tall. This is way too big and not what I’m aiming for at all. Can anyone offer any ideas to troubleshoot? I’m using the Twenty Twenty theme at the moment. Hosting locally and can’t share a link to the page at the moment.
