Header size/height different on other pages

Hi all. Total numpty at WordPress, but I’m having difficulty with the theme displaying a different header size (height) on the front page, versus all other pages. Is there additional CSS I can add that would ensure it’s the full size on the other pages too? I’ve tried a few options from other threads I’ve found in support for themes, but none of them seem to make any difference to the pages.

example:

.masthead {
height:360px;
}

Interestingly, it’s showing in full width on the OTHER pages, when on mobile. But the header is cut down from the sides on the front page. So: On desktop, full size only in front page. On mobile: Full size only on other pages than front page. What the heck?

I’m probably making a mess of this code.

Hello, I’m trying to make the header size in the footer of the page smaller. I’ve tried following some guides, but it doesn’t seem like this is the way in Astra. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Oskar Heading Size

Need assistance with the header background on the free Oskar theme. I created a header for the theme using the recommended resolution, but when I apply it, its is much bigger and many aspects get cut off. Is there a way to get the correct dimensions of the header area, so I can re-create the background image?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Menus on Mobile Site

Hi All,

I’ve just started working on the mobile version of https://nav-e-gate4less.co.uk/

This is my fist live WordPress site. I’m using the storefront theme in WordPress.

When I view the mobile site, the menu appears on the far right, and when you click on it, the menu items appear on the text of the website. I have created a menu, just for the mobile site, which contains only a link to the home page.

What I would like to do is have the menu item on the mobile to the left, but also have the menu items appear to the right of the “Menu”, if that makes sense, i.e. not a drop down list, more of an expand the right.

I’ve tried the Mega Menus plugin. It makes the menus only appear on the desktop website, but the header, the site title and the strapline all disappear, when the mega menu is enabled, which is not what I want.

Also, a slight side topic, the banner I have just now is ok for th desktop, but not ok in the mobile version of the site. What size should I make the banner image, for it to appear ok with both the mobile and desktop sites?

Any help appreciated.

Twenty Twelve child theme not loading good on phone.

I have a site that has Twenty Twelve child theme. I noticed that the site is not loading properly on my phone. I tried chrome and safari.

It appears to be my header staying the same size. Any suggestions on making the header image sizable (automatically)?

I like this theme a lot, but I’ve run into some challenges with what I hope will be a global header, one with a background image. You’ll see from the link the following issues: the header image is cut off, and its placement in wonky. I spent some time researching how to handle this, but find I am out of my depths. At the same time I would like to be able to change the colors for the primary header, but I can’t make head nor tail of the css. If anyone can give me instructions on how the css should look for the header especially, I’d be very thankful.

I’ve been rebuilding my website with the Newses and Newsup theme..

Haven’t made up my mind yet but Newses is a very good candidate.

However I’m still struggling with some of the options and maybe it is because I’m using the free and not the PRO edition.
And Since I’m still making my mind up, buying it now might be a bit too soon as I’m still haven’t made up my mind.
if you see my current website https://safeunderdark.com you can see it is totally different than the Newses or Newsup for that matter.

but okay, the Question is..

What are the best dimensions to use on the header and the featured images to be used.
I’m getting some weird results in using the images I have now

Header images : 1800 x 1200
full HAD 1920 x 1080

For the featured image I use all sorts of image sizes some are good
but some completely of the charts and look weird in the slider or the main page..

Please advice what to do best.

Also I’ve checked both theme’s documentation but was unable to find any’standard size advice..

Question 2: how do I change the basic purple color? or is that a Pro feature?

Other than that, I think this there rocks!

Header will not fit mobile screen

Hello,

The header image does not resize on mobile. Thus the full name is not displayed on my mobile screen. Is there a way to make it responsive?

I have tried several different codes that I have fund on this form, but they all don’t seem to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Changing Header Size

Hi I want to buy your pro theme for Asagi, but I want to make sure I can get it to be able to edit the header size first.

I want to be able to enlarge the header, without having any text in the header.

If I take text out, the header shrinks to very small. Is there some CSS I can use to have a larger header, without using any text?

My header looks too large in height when I check the Display Site Title and Tagline option. When I uncheck it and use a header image alone, it is too narrow. Could you please help with how I can make it the same size as on your demo site?
