Header video doesn’t autoplay on mobile website

Hello,

I have a problem with the video I set up on the home page header. It’s a YouTube video that automatically plays when you arrive on the website, but it doesn’t work on mobile, even if you press the play button on the bottom right of the header.

How can I fix the problem ?

Header Video is not showing on tablet or mobile

I added a header video in the jumbotron section and it works fine on desktop. Unfortunately it is not visible on tablet or mobile. When I’m in the customizer I can see the video on all devices but when I check on an actual device, it isn’t working.

What can I do to solve this issue?

6.94MB Header Video uploads but not load in 2017

I’ve tried this video in a few other themes unsuccessfully as well. I created this 6 second clip in 2020 Corel Video Studio. The file size is 6.94MB with an aspect of 1280×720

It uploaded perfectly but will not show up on the preview nor when you go to the site. Its a new site so only the header has content at this time. I recently built a similar clip with the same ratio and slightly larger which loaded successfully. You can find it at https://discoversasquatch.com which was my first attempt at creating/using header video. I guess I got lucky on the first one!

Any and all help will be appreciated.

video header doesn’t display

I made a short mp4 video with Adobe Premier Rush. I don’t know the exact measurements, just that it has 16:9 aspect ratio. I uploaded it to the media library. I see it in the left sidebar (“Customizing Header Media”), but it doesn’t display on the page. I also tried the YouTube option, but no luck. Header Media is Cut Off/Resizing

Hello! I hope someone can help – this has been driving me nuts! My organization’s website is using the Primer theme – and I’m trying to add header media. I’ve created a video file that meets the theme’s specific size specs, yet when I try to upload it, the file is zoomed in/cut off. It’s not sizing correctly. I’ve then tried resizing the video to more closely match the size the previous video changes to, and then that option gets cut off as well. I’ve tried uploading the file to YouTube and pulling in the link, and same thing happens.

Also, when I remove the logo from the header area, I’m then not able to upload any header media at all — the header section just goes black.

I’m searched the forums for custom CSS to add to set the header media height, and nothing I’ve tried seems to work. Any help is appreciated – thank you! The website is childrenscampaignfund[dot]org.

How to add HEADER VIDEO in “THE GAP WORDPRESS THEME” ?

Hello,

I really want to thank the developer for creating “THE GAP theme”. It is true that I am new with wordpress, but I really like it.

But the thing is ‘VIDEO” can not add in the HEADER MEDIA. It is true there are 3 options in HEADER MEDIA (None, Image and Video). I choose VIDEO, I add a short video with the right size, but the video doesnt upload to my website.

Please, help me to fix that

Hi I have a basic website with a youtube video playing in the header which works nicely on desktop however I am unable to get it to play on any mobile device… and ideas where the problem lies? Thx

Child Theme install error message

I’ve installed a child theme for twentyseventeen. Followed all the instructions. If I choose the theme I get the message:
“This theme is broken. Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.”
Additionally, when selecting the theme, instead of seeing just the title “twentyseventeen-child” in the select dropdown I see also the contents of the file displayed as follows:

Polylang translation of header video

I have built a website using polylang in wordpress (3 versions : EN – FR – NL) and I would like to have a different video in each header of the website (a video in english for the english one, a french video for the french,…). I’m using the Twenty Seventeen theme.

But my problem is that there is only one input to insert my youtube link… Right now, I can only have one same video for every version of the site. Is it possible to translate the header video ?
