Can word press do the following?

Hi,

I built my first website quite recently and will be building another fairly soon. My question is:

Is there a way to have a user login page where users can create a profile and from this profile a small segment gets automatically pulled onto the main website in the form of a picture thumbnail and user name? With the this thumbnail, the link takes it to their full profile they created?

Being fairly new to website design and WordPress, what is involved in this type of design? What do I require? Widgets, themes, code, etc?

Best plug-in’s to use – help required

I have two things I can’t find a good extension for, they are as follows:

a) Flick Gallery
I have a Flickr Gallery which contains 158 pics and more to be added. I want an extension that dynamically displays thumbnails, I don’t mind if it’s one big page of multiple rows of thumbnails, but I’d prefer maybe display a page of 30 thumbnails at a time then just using navigation that is dynamically created to take the user to the next page. Then when a thumbnail is clicked, a large version is shown but the user remains in the wordpress page.

b) In this section…
I have sections of pages, I want an plug-in that will dynamically display a list of all child pages in that section detailing a thumbnail of any images used, a title, and the first 20-30 words or alternatively a short synopsis of the article.

I may just be missing the obvious but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it!

Problem with my Sidebar

Hi,

My site is Funny You Tube Video and I am having a problem with it.

I use WordPress 2.6.2 and adding posts with video to the site is causing the sidebar to go bottom of the page. My posts are appearing where the sidebar should be.

Nothing I do seems to make any difference. I believe it can be something to do with fonts etc or italics used but I’m banging my head against a brick wall!

Please help!!
